so-and-so just wanted to send his/her new picture as a thank you for all the gifts and thoughts you sent to him/her. He/She cant wait to meet you!

Date
time
weight
length
blah-blah-blah.

Thats probably what I would do. Instead of trying to remember what every person sent.

I've only received baby shower thank yous before the baby is actually born and not after so I'd write something like the first person said where it's gift specific because I think that made the card very special. And if you do it soon after the shower you can remember what people brought and/or have someone keep a list of names and items at the showers. Good Luck!

First==
Thank you cards for the shower gifts should go out before the baby is born.

And, if you receive more gifts with the birth announcements, send a card out asap to let the person know it was rec'd.

Dear Aunt Judy-

Thank you so much for the cute baseball outfit! I can't wait to put little Joey in it. He will be sooooo cute.

He has his daddy's eyes, and his mommy's lips.

I can't wait until you can meet him.

Love.

My baby shower was Dec. 30, and my baby was due Jan 14th. Well, he came early, I went into labor on Dec 31, so needless to say hadn't done all the thank you cards. I just wrote them out today, and included the baby's name in them. I'm just going to stick the announcements in the same envelope and send them out, two separate pieces but one envelope.

Dear Aunt Edna-

Thanks So much for the baby bath kit! I'm sure it will come in handy as today we're working on Chase's first bath! The little baby robe is just adorable, I can't wait to see him in it! Thanks for coming to the shower as well, it was great to see you there. I hope you had a good time, I know I did!

Thanks again--

Steve, Myra and Chase Smith

That's something like what I wrote. Good luck.
