Hi, my baby is four weeks old, I would like some tips on some good ways to interact and play with her in a way to help with her development. Any suggestions appreciated!

Mild Peek a boo, and singing songs, nursery rhymes, and things like that. Mirrors are also so facinating at this age, and for the next 2-4 months. I would say little piggies, but I dont think 4 week olds understnad toes quite yet, my 18 month old gets a huge kick outta it though.

Peek-a-boo is good....pretty soon, if not already, she will be able to react and laugh
Some other things that will help her development would be laying her on her belly with some black and white pictures to look at, you can try giving her a baby massage because the more you touch her, the more neuron connections she will make. At the daycare that I work at we have music playing all day in all of the classrooms because it can aid in development..just try something instrumental while she is still small.

Monopoly ..Why of course ! And instead of each player collecting 200 to pass go.You can put each player who passes go has to change the diaper.Wow.But I am not sure if your four week old infant would be up to it.

My babies liked patty-cake at that age. It might have been more the singing and rhymes that they liked more than the actual game itself. Sure gets a smile though.

You know...at this age...just a lot of soothing body touching is stimulating....rubbing the feet, the back....letting them grasp your fingers...just lots of touching at this point...
