My baby is not quite 4 weeks old yet. He refused to go to sleep unless i am holding him. He wakes up and cries soon after i put him down even if he if fully asleep. I have surrounded him with firm blankets and pillows to make him feel like he is being held. I have put items close to him that smell like me but nothing helps. I have had to have his sleep in bed with me so that both of us can get at least a little sleep. What can i do to have him sleep on his own?

my 18 month old barely speaks. about a dozen sounds that we know what they mean, but mostly just pointing and grunting and getting frustrated. No multiword phrases at all. Shouldn't she be talking more by now?

OK, she never told the baby's father about the kid, cuz they broke up b4 she found she was pregnant.
She lives with her mom, and only works from like 6 to 11 pm so that she can take care of her baby.
She really likes me, and I like her, but i'm not like obsessed with her.

Foe the last 2 nights, my daughter refuses to sleep. Shes on the same routine shes been on for awhile, but now shes waking up every half an hour and screaming her head off. She also WILL NOT nap during the day, maybe 10 minutes the whole day she will sleep. Shes so tired, exhausted, red rimmed eyes, black circles, shes starting to freak out over everything and all she does is cry. She'll lay down on me and start to fall asleep, then she'll jerk herself back awake almost as if shes afraid to let herself sleep. If it was because she was afraid she'd miss something thats going on, Id understand, but shes just not sleeping, period. I havent slept in a few nights and I think Im going to go insane with her soon! Any help at all, or should I just take her to the doctor? And if I do, what can they do to help her there?

I have been breastfeeding my one-month old son, and in the last couple of days, his poo has become green. I know about the foremilk-hindmilk inbalance, but I don't know how to fix it. He nurses from one side only each feeding for about 10 minutes. We're doing the same thing we've been doing so I don't understand why his poo is green all of a sudden. He has a slight cold; could that be the cause?

I am looking for a child car seat and an umbrella stroller. Used merchandise is fine as long as it is clean. Any merchandise would be appreciated but those are the two that I truly need. I have a six month daughter and live in a county where I can't find alot. We have a low income so anyone willing to let me know of a site where donated or free merchandise is available it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from someone soon!

I had been sleeping on a borrowed roller bed for the past 9 months. Too soft. So I put some wood boards underneath the mattress. It was still too soft and had been giving me a lot of body pain. So I finally went to the store two days ago to look for a firmer, good quality mattress set. I tried Simmons Beautyrest Cunningham Plush a few times, lying on it for 10, 15 minutes each. It felt pretty comfortable. After the mattress set arrived yesterday, I took a nap on it for about two hours - slept like a baby. Felt absolutely no pain when I got up. Then after sleeping on it overnight, I got up this morning feeling pain all over like when I was sleeping on the roller bed. Perhaps this mattress is too soft after all and sinks after someone sleeps on it for 8 hours straight? The info I got from the store says: "Expect your new mattress to develop indentations called 'body impressions' during the first several weeks of use. These impressions are normal, and were anticipated in the desig

Books say: introducing cereal won't make your baby sleep through the night. But many people have told me otherwise, and my experience is that my 5-month baby slept much longer the day we gave him cereal. Howcome the books and people are disagreeing so much? What else should I know?

When she was born it was very small and it has now got quite a bit larger. It has red all around it and has a spot in the middle that is quite large and swollen. It starts on the inside of her lip then around to the outside and stops right below her nose. My question is for anyone that has dealt with this kind of thing and what to do. It has started to fill in with white but I'm wondering do I leave it alone or go back to speacialist to do some kind of treatment.
