Why wouldn't it be? You certainly can nurse a baby while you are one your period. Same thing with pumping.

Yes.....it's no different than breastfeeding during menstruation. Nursing or pumping during your period won't hurt you or the baby. The milk is not affected at all. If anything, some moms notice a supply dip at that time of the month due to hormones. Another good reason to keep pumping or nursing so that the supply doesn't get damaged!

Yuppers. Some women don't get their periods at all until they stop breastfeeding. That's why alot of people think that you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding...which is wrong by the way, you can totally get pregnant. But on the flip side, some women do get their periods while breastfeeding. It doesn't make a difference. Pump away!

Yes!! Since pumping milk helps contract the uterus (the same as when you breastfeed), it may help with your cramping if you have any. Be sure to drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated and your milk production optimal.

Oh yes. Absolutely. It's safe for your child to drink your breastmilk even if you're menstruating.
Actually, after childbirth they say it's good for you if you breastfeed, because it contracts the uterus and makes bleeding less.
