My daughter is three weeks old. I don't want her being exposed to viruses and germs from strangers, but I don't want to be stuck in the house all winter long. When will she be old enough to take out with me in public?

My three-week-old doesn't poop everyday and her doctor said that's normal, as long as she goes at least once every five days or so. I know she's constipated because I hear her straining and sometimes she cries out in pain. Is there any way to make her feel better?

through the night. He is up at least 3 times. I have suggested letting him cry himself to sleep, but that doesn't work. He eats 2 of those times.(yes they feed this little garbage monster alot) Any ideas on how to keep him asleep for most of the night. I am asking this because my daughter only woke once for a feeding when she was that age, and always( still does) sleep throught the night. I fear with out sleep , my poor sis will go mental. Help.

My 12 week old is getting up once a night for a bottle. The thing is she is up for an hour or during that feeding. Getting up is not the problem it is staying up for so long that is getting tireing. We usually like to keep her upright for 30 minutes after a bottle. We have been doing this even during the middle of the night feeding. I just wonder if she is getting used to bieng up that long. How should we feed her in the middle of the night?

Share your stories of why having a baby was one of the best things that ever happened to you. Or the opposite.

Sometimes I think I am way to paranoid, if my baby who is three months acts in any way that is out of character I call an ambulance as I have no car and transportation is a major issue, I feel like a complete idiot when I do though because my baby seems fine after they check her out., does anyone else have this problem with their first born babies? Am I that daft? Do you parents just let it slide when your baby seems a little off? I have mental problem or over stressed or something it feels like because I freak out about any little change in my baby, like today she was floppy and didnt eat well so I called an ambulance is that over reacting? I would just like to hear some stories of other paranoid mothers.

I was just curious if people really paid attention to that. I am due in December and I thought that it'd be a smart thing if I bought one, because as you know people these days are aggressive on the roads as ever and that is my biggest fear...getting into an accident with my newborn son. What do you all think?

i was curious as to whether premature infants can switch to regular milk at (chronological) age one like regular babies or do they have to wait until they were "supposed" to make one?(had they made it to term)

for example...twins born at 29 weeks gestation...due on valentines day but born on dec 3...can they switch from formula to cows milk on their birthday?

Our baby is about 4 months old now, and he's starting to have some serious issues with separation anxiety. My wife feeds him and holds him until it's time for her to go to bed and then she gives him to me to take care of. I have so much trouble getting him to go to sleep! I'll hold him, rock him, change him, feed him, read to him, walk around with him, put him in front of the TV, do everything I can think of, and he's fine through all that. But as soon as I put him in his crib and walk away, he blows up! He cries so hard that he turns red and gets tears in his eyes. Then when I come pick him up, he's fine again. So then I'm back to holding him, rocking him, etc.. then when I think he's calmed down enough to go to sleep, I put him back in his crib and "WAAAAAAA!!!!!" he blows up again. This sort of thing goes on for literally hours almost every night. He keeps rubbing his eyes, so I know he's tired, but he just refuses to be put down. What should I do?

I have a question for all the women and mothers out there. I had mastitis and just got over it. Well I couldnt breastfeed because it hurt way to bad to even touch my boobs. Now I can only get about 2oz out of my boobs, thats together. How do I get myself to start producing more again? My son is only 3 weeks old so I want to keep breastfeeding but I am not producing enough to fill him up right now. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm breastfeeding and would prefer to keep it that way but I have a gut feeling he's not getting enough protien and putting on weight like he should. He seems content after he eats but could he just be used to the amount he's been getting? Is he not getting the fatty hind milk, does that contain more protien? and how would i get it out?? please i need suggestions, i want my little boy to grow up big and strong, he's so little for a 3 month old.
