I keep my son up for 4 or 5 hours before bed time and i just put him in the cot proped up with the bottle in his mouth and he falls asleep instantly however he still wakes up once in the night so someone told me that when he wakes up in the middle of the night just give him a bottle of plain pre-boiled and cooled water (no sugar and anything added) just so he can break the habit of waking up every night the same time then he will sleep right through, more than one person has told me this so i am sure it works. it might be hard at first but eventually after a few weeks they should be fine.

The first thing I would do is re-evaluate the evening routine. Having a consistent routine is supposed to help them, because it settles kids down. Getting pajamas on, having a night-time snack (nothing sugary), brushing teeth, and reading a book at the same time, in the same order every night is supposed to help.
If they already have a routine, maybe certain foods are bothering him. It's not uncommon for very young kids to have a problem with cow's milk, for example. If his stomach is actually bothering him, and of course, he doesn't have the knowledge or communication skills to say so, then he may just come across cranky and hungry. Laying down can aggravate indigestion, so while he might seem fine during the day, this could cause a problem for him when he's trying to sleep. You'd be amazed- this can make a huge difference. It can be a tiring process to figure out food sensitivities, but most people recommend that you change one thing, try it for a week, and see if that makes a difference, and if not, move on to another food. (Remember, if he's in daycare, she'll need to coordinate with the care givers there, too.)
Good luck, and I hope she finds out what's wrong soon!

OMG! My daughter didn't sleep throught the night until she was 7 months old. She would wake up 3 times a night the entire time and have a bottle each time. I had to eventually let her cry herself to sleep to save my own sanity!!
It took 3 nights for her to sleep through the night. The first night she screamed about 30 minutes before I couldn't take it and went to her. She woke up several times that night. The second night she screamed for two hours straight before I gave in and went to her in tears myself. The third night took only 15 minutes. She's always gotten herself to sleep since then and nights have been pleasant.
My advice would be to pick a certain time and make it routine. Get bath, story and hugs kisses and bottles done BEFORE this time. Be consistant and keep to a room that is far. The tv helps to drown the crying.....
It's SOOOO hard to hear your baby cry but if you're strong this will work.

Some babies can take up to a year old before they sleep all night. Every baby is different. I doubt she really has anything to worry about. If she is truly concerned then she needs to speak with her doctor.
