I was just curious if people really paid attention to that. I am due in December and I thought that it'd be a smart thing if I bought one, because as you know people these days are aggressive on the roads as ever and that is my biggest fear...getting into an accident with my newborn son. What do you all think?

Congratulations!!!I was a nervous wreck driving with my newborn for the first like 2 months!!! I had a sign but never put it on because my windows are tinted and I didn't even think people would be able to see it! I noticed that when I am driving and see the sign I keep my distance and pay very close attention to the road more than I do just normally. I also tend to look for babies in the back of cars and if I know they are there I go to another lane just in case. Just remember to keep your following distance and pay very close attention to the road (No Cellphones!) this way all you have to worry about is watching other people on the road that you may easily avoid other then the other car and you.

I think that they are most useful if you have an accident and emeregency personel can spot the sign easily.
One thing I would like to point out is that the sign with the suction cup is not recomended because if you have an accident (Ex. rear ended) the sign can come off the window and hurt the baby. I am sure you know that you can be hit with a lot of force. If you really want this signage, you should buy the sticker kind just to be safe.

Most people probably won't specifically think, "Wow, a Baby on Board sign, I better slow down". But it can't hurt, and maybe one impatient person behind you at a red light might see it and have a reality check. I see them sometimes and it's a little reminder that there are precious cargos in the cars I pass and it doesn't really matter if I get to my destination 2 minutes earlier by driving too fast.

I would get one. But take it off when the baby isn't with you. We were on the way to church on day and we noticed a rollover accident of a friend of ours. She was very disoriented, panicked. She usually had her grand daughter with her. But because she wasn't making sense, we had to worry for a little until she calmed down to tell us her husband had taken the granddaughter earlier. The grand daughter was less than a year.
But if you have a sign like that on your car and something does happen, you know that they won't overlook your little one if you have a sign.
Just an idea. I need to go get one myself!!

Congrats! It might or might not work. Sort of like car alarms. So many of them, now nobody pays attention. Just make sure it's visible and do the best you can to take care and remember if the other drivers are that pushy, best to let them go and forget them.

Even before I had my son I was extra cautious around cars with those signs. I think they will keep people from following so closely if its in the back window.

I personally don't pay any attention to them. There are so many saying so many different things. By now they are just part of the window.

Not to be pessimistic or anything, but I don't think most drivers pay attention to anything. Most are too busy talking on their cell phones. You can try those signs, but I don't think they'll make anyone more aware.
