We've got no idea what the costs associated with raising a baby will be. Money's tight so we'd also like to consider if we are eligible for any state help or any other entitlement but we're not sure where to start looking.

Many many thanks :-)

I have recently discovered how much of a nightmare it is to get a jug of hot water to warm my babies bottle, or for people to warm my babies food in their microwaves. So many cafes won't give you hot water becuase it is againstt health and safety, what about my babies human rights to eat? They serve boiling hot tea and coffee so what is the difference? I did have a flask but it has broken so I am now having to find somewhere to feed my son everytime I go out. Why are restaurants and cafes so unfriendly towards babies? There are places that are really helpful, don't get me wrong, but it really puts a strain on a day out when I am worrying about feeding my son.

I am 32 weeks pregnant and driving myself crazy when it comes to what bottles to buy...should I buy glass or plastic by what company is best evenflo or playtex or avent and what formula to use for my baby, should it be enfamil or good start or something else, I know I could check with the baby doctors when he gets here but I think moms out there can assist me in making my decision a little easier if they tell me what they did for there little ones. Just need some examples and yes I know all babies are different but just looking for some ideas on milk and bottles. I can't breast feed because I have Multiple Sclerosis and I will be on medication and can't breast feed. Just giving you guys detail infomation. Thanks in advance for your answers. Typing fast if i mispell anything, i think you get my point

I have always had an oversupply of milk. I don't think I've ever emptied. So, I only nurse my 12 week old daughter on one side at each feeding. When she nurses on my right, she stay on for almost 30 minutes. When she nurses on my left, she's done after only 10 or 15 minutes. My left side does come out a LOT faster than my right side, but is 10 minutes really enough time for a full meal? She's gaining weight okay, and I alternate every feeding.

Molly was full term and her mother did everything right in the pregnancy. Two weeks ago an ultrasound determined she was a very large baby--almost 9 pounds. Her doctor decided not to a C section and wait for things to progress naturally. A few times during the two weeks the baby was not moving and she went into the doctors office to make sure things were okay. Shyeh was in labor for twenty hours before the baby was taken by c section. The baby has a large red bruise on her head and started to have seizures of her left arm and shoulder. She has been transferred to Worcester NIC unit. the baby is on an intravenous drip of fenabarbitol. A CAT scan tonight showed a problem on the right side of the brain--a smalll area either missing, swollen, or crushed. Tomorrow there will be a EEG and MRI by the Neurologist. They also said she could have had a small stroke. Any ideas would be appreciated. Everyone is upset. Anyone seen this problem? Thank you.
