I'm about to stop breastfeeding and switch my baby to formula. I've already been supplementing a little with the free samples of formula from the hospital. I've been getting different kinds of formula in the mail (along with coupons for different kinds). Is it okay to give my baby different kinds of formula? I don't want to waste it (it's so darn expensive!!).

...get her to drink from the cup?
We have put formula in the sippy cup, and she just refuses to drink it, she starts fussing until finally we give up, and move on to her bottle...
What to do?

Thanks!

When you put a child up for adoption don't you get money for it from the agency, so why is it illegal to sell your baby to a family if they're willing take over as the parents. I'm not selling my kids I'm just wondering about that whole adoption thing because I know people that have adopted children and paid as much as $50,000 per child..........Things that make me go "Hummmmmm"!

When my son was born I noticed both of his index fingernails were thicker and came to a point at the tip. His doctor told me nothing was wrong and they would grow out. He is now 5 monthes old and nothing has changed. I am just wondering why his fingernails are like this and can I do anything to help make them "normal".

OK... I am currently 36 weeks pregnant with a little girl... our FIRST and ONLY girl. We currently have 2 boys. I am very experienced with boys, but kinda nervous and clueless with a little girl. We just moved so are about 3000 miles from family and don't really know anyone yet. I thought having the same parts I would kinda know, but my mom, my sister, my MIL, are all giving me advice as far as how to change diapers without giving her a infection or whatever. The more I hear the more nervous I get!! I know "front to back" but does anyone else have any tips or advice for handling little girls either with bathing or diaper changing?! If there was an infection how would I tell? Thank you in advance for any tips or helpful information!!

I live with my cousin, and I just started letting my 8 month old son sleep in his own room. She has a baby boy who is turning 5 months old and wants to put him in his own room as well. Is this too early or not?

I'm just looking for the overnight kind. I have tried lots of different brands of daytime diapers and none of them can hold the pee like Huggies Overnights.

I have been looking and cannot find any info on this. What I am wondering is can I use an Eddie Bauer convertable car seat on the plane? Also can I have one of the little umbrella strollers as a carry on? Any info would help. Thanks!

Please don't report me. I am not trying to make money or anything... I just want to help out other new moms who are having the same trouble as me with formula and baby food stains.

I tried EVERYTHING to get stains out... the worst one was sweet potato. I tried WISK, Shout, Zout, Baby OxyClean, believe me I tried IT ALL.

Finally I found something that really works - my husband and I had a box of ALCONOX that we used to use to clean breeding equipment used w/ our horses. It is an industrial detergent that is completely free of dyes, perfumes and additives. It leaves glass squeaky clean and a lot of dairies use it to clean milk equipment. It can even improve the quality of glass when used over time.

Anyway, I figured why not? I'd been washing baby bottles in it prior to sterilizing them. I mixed up a batch - 1 tablespoon to a gallon of warm water. I soaked my baby's stained bibs and burp clothes in it for 30 minutes - the stains were all GONE!

Hope this helps someone! www.alconox.com

Did anyone see Oprah on Monday where she had a lady on there that unlocked the secret to baby language? It was incredible to watch this woman calm down 10 crying babies in a matter of minutes because she understood what they were saying. What do you think?

i have been mostly breastfeeding my 2 week old baby, now i am getting back to my normal routine and responsibilities and could use the extra time to get stuff done or nap if someone else could feed her. problem is when i pump out my milk, there is only like 2 ounces coming out and when we feed it from the bottle, it only takes her like 5 or 10 minutes to finish it off, compared to the 30 or more that it takes me to breastfeed her. does this mean she isn't getting enough when i pump, or is it just easier to get out of the bottle? how do u find out how much she is getting while i feed her so i know how much of what i pump to measure into her bottle?

I have a few day old baby, and she was sick last night so she didnt get any sleep. She went to sleep at about 7 o clock this morning and is still sleeping. I would like her to get the rest, but I could only imagine how hungry she might be. I breastfeed. Should I wake her to feed, or wait untill she wakes up on her own? Will she wake up when she gets hungry enough?

I am thinking about buying a baby sling. My son is 5 months old. I know they make ones that are baby to toddler. Those of you who have one, which brand would you recommend? Do you like them? Do you find them useful? Any feedback would be appreciated.
