My daughter is 7 months now ... I knew that babies this age start teething. She has a little flu and also she feels frustrated now and then. I bought a teething gel at guardian to soothe her gums. Is it so that when they started teething... they will have flu and tempermental moods? Her appetite is okay..

no children do not get the flu when teething. teething has nothing to do with a virus. they will be tempermental of course because they are in discomfort and a low grade fever is normal to but it is not indicative of the flu. if she is eating good it is definately not the flu but merely teething.

First of all, I want to tell u how much I hat the gel stuff because if u remember when u go 2 the dentist, he puts the gel on a q-tip & puts it in your mouth to sit & kick in on the spot that hurts. Babies dont do that...when u put the gel on their mouths they move & salivate & get it all over in their mouths, so unless yur gonna sit there & hold the gel in place until it numbs her gums it is pretty worthless to use. My son is 18 mos now & when he was teething he'd get a runny nose & a fever & all that fun stuff! Give her IB profen (better than tylenol in my opinion because it last longer & its also an anti-inflamitory that works wonder for baby's gums that're swollen from incoming teeth) & as far as the moods, yeah they are gonna be way moody because they're in pain & unlike us they get a fever when they get teeth & a runny nose & life really sux for them...so moodiness is definately from teething! Sorry about this stage its no fun but hang in there k? Good Luck & God bless

Every baby is different!! Some get extremely temperamental while others get fevers and such!! Tylenol should help as well with teething remedies!! good luck

They can run low grade temp and have runny nose. As long as she is staying hydrated and no fever over 102 she should be find a little tylonel will help.

So, what is the question - everything seems pretty normal here! Just think about how you felt when cutting teeth and don't be so nervous - she will be fine!
