It's questions like this that make me wish people had to take parenting classes. This is going to sound harsh, but you really need to be more aware of child development. Racism is not caused by eating or not eating the black jelly babies. Racism is a learned behavior that comes from environment. Your child will become a racists if she is exposed to it in her daily life.
Given that she's only 18 months old she hasn't developed a sense of race yet. She may realize that some people look different than others, but has not developed the connective thoughts that a certain group is lazy, etc. This is what she will learn, or hopefully not learn, from you.
She isn't eating the black ones because she doesn't like them or she has witnessed the behavior elsewhere. My little brother used to love tomatoes when he was a kid, until he heard me say once that I didn't like them...and now 12 years later, he still won't eat them.
Your daughter will learn through experience, remember that.

A lot of people just don't like the flavor of black jelly beans! All the colors have a different taste! This shouldn't be any sign of being a racist!!

Ho ho! Did you hear about the asian guy who is taking his work colleague's to court because according to him, they used to bite the head's off the black one's, whilst giving him "strange" glances! Classic!
No, I doubt she'll be a racist unless you happen to be walking around the house saying "black this & black that", which might also explain the jelly baby thing. But I think it's more a case of her thinking the black one's aren't as colourful as the others, or maybe even not as tasty.

No!
You are reading too much into things!
She probably dosn't like the taste. An eighteen month old baby is too young to make the link between black people and jelly babies.

Candy has nothing to do with being a racist. Racism occurs in children who are exposed to it. They learn these things from their parents/friends/peers.
She may not like the flavor or has seen someone else do this, to answer the real question.

Sweets have nothing to do with being racist.
Black jelly babies won't appeal to everyone.
After all, they all have different flavours, and it could just be the taste that she objects with.
I, for one, will not touch them, as I hate all blackcurrant-flavoured sweets =/
Try not to worry so much =)

nope, just a picky eater! LOL But really try to give her more choices in everything because she could develope into what is called a resistant eater. Autistic children have this issue a lot as well.
