My baby is almost 6 mo and I think it is drying out because I work and so I already pump. I used to be able to pump a full 6 to 8 oz a day and I now can get 1 to 4 oz. I dont drink or eat anything with caffine in it.

Why do you think your milk is drying up? Are you nursing on demand for the baby? How old is your baby? He or she is probably going through a growth spurt and is nursing more. Keep it up and your body will make as much as the baby needs. Keep an eye on the diapers, it should be 6-8 wet a day and probalby 1-2 BM a day. It depends on how old the baby is. If the baby seems content at the end of a feeding and is happy and growing you are doing great. Keep it up this is the best for your baby and you. Good luck.

Like MKT said, look at those aspects and try to see if your milk really is drying up, or if your child is content and growing. There does become a point where your breasts just keep up with what your baby needs, and there is no waste (yay! I get so tired of leaking ;-) )

My MIL swore by half a beer, my SIL swore by a hershey's bar every day. I found that making sure I drink at least ten glasses of water a day, decreasing caffeine and getting at least 10 hours of sleep helps a lot. And make sure that you're not limiting calories, that WILL cut your production.

Drink a lot more water. Caffeine is a diuretic so avoid it.
Breast feed as much as you can and pump as much as you can. When standing in the shower let the hot water run over your breasts and massage them. The mothers milk tea worked ok for me, but that other stuff worked best.

Your body seem to be adjusting to the pumping schedule. Is there anyway to add another session of pumping and/or nursing? Perhaps you should try to get the babe to reverse cycle and nurse while sleeping next to you at night.

Fenugreek and/or Goat's Rue might help, also eat oatmeal everyday and try looking at a picture of your babe when you pump, or pump the opposite side when he/she nurses.

How old is the baby? Well i suggest buying a pump and pump as often as you can. You could store that extra milk in the freezer or fridge :)

Try foods like dates and figs-try to drink 3 cups of milk 3 times a day. Dates always help boost my milk-flow......

You can pump, or you can try this mother's milk tea they sell at natural food stores. Some of my friends have had luck with it.
