Is it hard having someone else watch your baby? Do you wish you had waited until you were more finically stable, so that maybe you could stay home with your baby? I guess what I’m asking is: would you rather be...

A: 20-24 and start a family sooner, but have to work because financially you cannot stay home, but maybe someday you will be able to.

B. 25-30 and be more finically stable and be able to stay home full time with your kids, but it would be hard for you to wait because you want kids really bad.

I was on the computer and my 2 year old came up and slapped my knee. I firmly told him I would defend myself if he struck me again. He laughed in mockery and slapped my knee again. I tackled him to the ground and elbowed him in the face. I felt threatened so I had to defend myself against this monster! Why wont he be a man and stop crying?

I have a 7 month old and I am considering purchasing a walker for her. She already has a jumperoo and an activity center, but I think the walker will help her leg muscles better. But I have heard both sides of stories, safe and unsafe? What should i do?

I'm just curious to know when your child sit up on their own by themselves. My son is 6 months old and can sit by himself for short periods of time but still is wabbly. Everyone keeps asking if he is sitting up yet like he is suppose to be doing it already. He is a strong boy and holds his head up great but its like he's got that round butt thing and just doesn't sit well for very long by himself.

I'm breastfeeding my 2 and half mo old baby and I'm planning to do so. We are invited to a party this saturday, I have babysitter, but - baby won't take the bottle! I have enough milk stored and I'm trying to get herv used to a bottle, but somehow it's not working out. It seems she doesn't know how to suck on the bottle - she can't latch on it. I tried different nipples too. She would go for hours screaming from hunger rather than take the bottle. What can I do??? Are there some special nipples resembling breast ('cause it seems the nipple is the problem - she cant put her mouth in proper position and keeps trying to suck wide open and kind of bites on it like it's breast...)?? Somebody had this problem? And what did you do? Please don't tell me to just stay home - if it's not now, eventually I will wanna get out for a day so I really need to figure this out.

P.S. She knew how to drink from bottle when she was newborn...

I personally like recieving the photocards, but I feel bad chucking them after Christmas, but I do throw them away if I am not close to the people. So I am thinking now that I have a baby that maybe a regular card with a photo inside might be more worth it because people throw away photocards. YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS WHOLE MATTER? Are the photocards not appreaciated? Do you think they are stupid or do you like to get them? Would you prefer a separate photo?

Ok...I've been exclusively pumping for the last 3 months. Last week, I decided to stop pumping. I let myself get engorged and everything and didn't pump for two days. Then, I started regretting my decision, so I tried to pump twice and nothing came out (then I cried). Two days after that (last night) I felt a little engorged, so I pumped..and amazingly, I got 6 oz out! BUT..the milk was watery looking. So my question is...If I pump every 2 hours or so now, is it possible that my milk will fully come back in? Or was that a fluke? I desperately want it to come back.

One more question...how often should I pump to try to get it back. Can I pump every hour, or do I need to wait and do it every two hours?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
Mandy

I have an 8 week old baby and I wonder if many others feel like me? I felt regret the first 4 weeks, and now I am much more bonded with the baby so I feel more guilty for feeling that way. I dont regret it anymore but I do keep craving my former life where I was carefree and spontaneous. Last evening my husband and i went for dinner without the baby and all I could think was that I wish i could go back after a nice meal and crash out in bed without any other worries. When do things start feeling more normal again? Anyone?
