I am pregnant with twins and am looking for a good stroller system for newborns. I can't seem to find a stroller system that has two car seats. What has worked best for anyone with twin babies?

Hi! I'm the mother of 11 month old identical twins. Here's a few stroller thoughts:

1. I used the Baby Trend Double Snap N Go for the first six months when they were still in their infant car seats. It configures to almost any brand car seats. I bought it used for $40 at a twins club sale but you can find it new at Babies R Us for $99. It's got great resale value so after you're done with it you can usually sell it for at least $50. I loved the Double Snap and Go because it was lightweight (I had a c-section and couldn't lift anything too heavy for a while), didn't take up much trunk space, and was easy to push/manuever.

2. Having the snap and go helped us decide whether to go with a side by side or tandem (front to back) stroller. I had originally been interested in the tandem Graco Duo Glider ($150)which accepts two infant car seats (sold seperately). I'm glad I used the tandem snap and go first because I realized that a side by side would work best for the types of places I went frequently. I also personally found the Duo Glider to be really bulky. You might want to go to Babies R Us and push one around the sales floor.

3. By the time they outgrew their infant cars seats we purchased a Maclaren side by side. It fits through all standard doorways easily and I love how well it goes around corners or turns around. (Doing a 360 or 180 in a side by side is soooooo much easier than with a long tandem!)

4. When it comes to the best stroller it really boils down to what you need it for and where you'll be taking it. We spend alot of times in malls and libraries where I wanted something that could manuever around tight spaces/corners. Other people like the tandem because they go through alot of narrow aisles. The tandem is also good for city streets because it has slightly bigger wheels than the side by sides. I also purchased a double jogger because we like to go to parks and to the beach.

I hope this helps. Good luck with the twins!

I have a Peg Perego double stroller that has 2 infant seats and 2 bigger seats (not car seats but ones that click into the stroller) It's awesome but they're expensive. You usually have to buy the 2 infant seats separately from the actual stroller.

Here's the website: www.pegperego.com

I ahve never seen a stroller system built to hold the carrier car seats. best bet is to get a 2 seater stroller and place the car seats on top it is safe. I had to do that with my babies. (not a side to side 2 seater but one that has one seat in back of the other.

I have a set of twin daughters and our graco double stroller actually accomodated two infant carriers. You did have to buy the carriers separate. The stroller itself was not that expensive. Best of luck with your babies!!!!!
