This happened to my son when he was just about 2. He got the flu and for the week he was sick, he didn't eat anything, but when he got better, he still didn't eat anything.

What I had to do was give him anything that he would eat and supplement with vitamins and Enfagrow.

If the only thing that your son will eat is bananas.. then let him. If there is anything that he will still eat, then let him have it just to get something into his stomach. If he'll still drink milk, then buy a toddler formula such as Enfagrow (packed with vitamins, minerals and protein) to make sure that he's still getting the vitamins his little body needs.

His problem is that he was sick, and he's associating food with being sick. He'll slowly get back into eating again, but it is going to take a little time.

Take him to the doctor to make sure there is not some underlying problem. Don't play with him while you are trying to feed him; just sit calmly and offer the food. He will eat if he's hungry unless there is something wrong with him.
