I would take him back to the doctors for a second opinion. He really shouldn't have it for 3 weeks. I would advise taking a sample with you to speed up the process. Ask to see a different doctor if you have several doctors at your surgery. Or you could ring the NHS direct number, they are very helpful.

Take the baby back to the doctors but see someone different!!!
My daughter caught a diarrhoea bug from her nursery a few months ago and was i'll for about 5 days. Water and toast seemed to help her but also disinfecting every square inch of my house with dettol seemed to work much better!
I went through 3 bottles of the stuff and 12 rolls of kitchen towel, doing everything from light switches and door handles to ALL of her toys!!! Get the BUG out of the house otherwise you'll just keep spreading it around!

Get straight back to doctors.I had my son like that for 3 weeks and docs kept tellin me all was fine turned out that he was really ill with a rare stomach bug and he was rushed into hospital and put on a drip. Got told he would have only had another 24 hours as he was so dehydrated. Never leave owt like this wn it comes to ur kids health. If u r not happy with what the docs are telling you see another doc or go to your A&E at Childrens hospital. Also try dioralite from chemist to replace fluids properly as water alone is not enough. Tell your docs that you demand a test running on a stool sample to eliminate owt serious. (This is not very pleasant acquiring the stool sample but is very necessary)

Have you been back to the doctor, please go IMMEDIATELY, and if you don't get a a satisfactory response, try your local hospital emergency section. This is a very serious problem for such a young baby, and although giving water is good, it only keeps your baby hydrated, it doesn't fix the problem that is causing the diarrhoea in the first place.

3 weeks...
See a different doctor!
How old is your baby? Are you sure it's diarrhoea and not just normal baby poo?
If you think that your child needs more help, go to A&E or demand to see a different doctor or health visitor. Your baby will get dehydrated if it continues!

Go to a dfferent doctor, it could be a virus or food poisoning.
The baby is probably suffering from lack of nutrition and runs the risk of dehydration which should also be treated.
In South Africa we have a tea call Rooibos/Redbush tea it is porpulary used to treat babies with stomach problems it has a lot of anti-oxidants and no tannin or caffeine naturaly.
If you can find it somehow it would be wonderfull it is safest thing in existence for the treatment of a babies stomach less harsh tharn pharmaceutical products It even works for me when I have a bug.
An American company recently stone the name Rooibos by patenting it in the U.S.....

How old is your baby? If you have just started weaning him then it may be that a food dosent agree with him.
What i do is try them with the same food for 3 or 4 days then if hes ok i try another just so that if he does have an allergy then i know whats caused it.
Id go to the docs cant be to safe

It is imperative that you take your baby back to the doctor. Don't feel you are pestering him, that is what he is there for. Thre weeks is a long time to have diarrhoea, particularly for a baby. They can get dehydrated very quickly.
