At what age is it safe to put a blanket in the crib? I dress her in full footy pj's, but I'm always unsure if she's warm enough.

My 5 month old son has a slight cold and he's had it for about a week now. Well for the past 3 days he's been refusing his bottle. He used to eat 4 hours apart..6 ounces..now he's eating around 4-5 ounces every 5-6 hours apart. And even then I have to pretty much battle an hour with him to get him to drink it. He's 20 lbs and he's always been a good eater. He's also very hateful lately and I'm thinking maybe it's his teeth or it's the cold..anyone have anything helpful for me? I'd really appreciate it =)

I want to get him a toy box for future toys and he won't mind getting that instead of a toy. I just don't know whats the best for toys. I get confused everytime we go to the toy department. The problem we have is that he'll be 1 year old only a month later so its hard to get him 12 month toys for his first christmas and then older toys only a month later. At this point he usually likes the packaging more than whats in it.

He started rolling over back to tummy about a month ago. My son tries to roll tummy to back and he even did it twice but doesnt do it continously. He should be rolling all over the place soon right? I'm just very concerned.

My partner and I are planning on having a baby within the next year. We both work, and she has a son who is 7. I would love to get some ideas about someone to care for my baby after I go back to work after maternity leave. My family lives too far away to ask them to care for my baby, and I cannot ask her family to do it. We dont really have any friends who I would consider, and I am a little leary about putting the baby in a daycare setting. I cannot quit my job and carreer, nor can she, because we need both incomes. Im nervous about hiring someone to come in and nanny at our home while I am at work too. What have other people done in this situation in order to find trusted care for their new child?

OK. Well, why do we have nearly and entire generation of intellectual people from the 50's and 60's, most of whom were raised on homemade Carnation formula, who have gone on to be great philosophers, doctors, scientists, inventors, thinkers, and educators?

Do you screen your M.D. before choosing him to see if he was breastfed? If not, and he's a top-ranking surgeon due to operate on you, would you disqualify him and choose Dr. Biibbedyflipp down the road that was breastfed?

Would you yank your child out of her AP biology class after finding out that the teacher was formula fed?

If you found out Picasso drank goats milk most of his babyhood, would it make his work any less beautiful?

Suppose a formula fed kid grows up to be your precious breastfed Timmy's boss or CEO? Oh, Timmy should automatically advance from mail clerk to supervisor because of his infant diet?

My cousin is WAY smarter thn me. I was breastfed, she was formula fed. Has a PHd, I don't. What do I do?

Just wondering what I can use for my baby. Her doctor mentioned Gripe Water. Any other suggestions? And where can I get some of this (Walmart, Target, etc.)

Wow. Well, then. How the hell did my child manage to have a diaper rash, explosive poops, and sometimes projectile vomiting for nearly 5 months on my milk? No matter what I ate or did, the rash would come and go. Never left until I gave her Enfamil.

If breast milk ends rashes, please send me legitimate proof and scientific backup. I'd like to see it. My tryst with pumping is thankfully over, but I do still have a bit of milk. I'll consider pumping it for use as a diaper balm, cure for AIDS, cancer, hepatitis, etc. as long as someone sends proof.

Anyone interested? I have about 2 ounces from this morning. The baby can't have it because I had meself a few glasses of wine. $200 OBO. LOL!!

My 11 week old sleeps so much longer and sounder on his stomach. I don't like to do this because of SIDS, but I hear that there are monitors like the one from BeBe Sounds that you can lay your babies on and it will sound an alarm if they stop breathing or does not detect movement after 20 seconds. I have to go back to work next week and my son is still up every 2-2 1/2 hours. HELP??? Should I do this?

I have to pump and supplement for my 2 week old baby, however I only produce enough breastmilk for about 1/3 of her bottles. My daughter gets really gassy and fussy when she has formula, to the point that I can't lay her down or she screams in pain until I pick her up and burp her again. I have tried Mylicon drops and they don't seem to help her. I have resorted to having her sleep in a bouncy seat but I don't want her to be able to sleep in her bassinet. She is on Enfamil Lipil, she doesn't really spit it up much, gets painful gas from it. Is there a better formula, is there something else I can do? I can't give her anymore breastmilk than I already do, I have talked to lactation consultants and I just don't produce enough to meet her needs. Any ideas????

My 4-1/2mth old baby is not liking his car seat anymore. He gets so cranky that he cries like someone is hurting him. He also scoots himself all the way down that if it was not for the straps on the car seat, he will literally fall out the car seat. Any idea why he might be doing this? any ideas as to what to do to make the ride pleasant for him will help? I already have toys, and a musical mirror in which he can see himself (not working).
