girl dont even worry about it.. they all develop in their own little way. I have 5 children & they all developed different) All my older kids are girls... they were much faster in doing things then my son (who will be six months on the 11th) He wont do a thing but lay there cry & laugh.........Its not time to worry until he is about 9 months old. By then he should be rolling over & s.tting up... hopefully crawling too. But dont stress about it, and from what I hear boys are slower than girls!
My kids are 9, 6, 4, 16months and 6 montsh......
ps if not turning over or sitting up by 9 months you will wnat to talk it over with your peditrician.
Good Luck!!

No emergency room needed - no longer yet, besides. Does he look fussy, like he has gas or tummy aches? i might think of at this factor he's no longer a happy camper. attempt giving him a splash watered down prune juice; finished capability will likely blow his little butt off. in specific cases apple juice works basically besides. once you introduce solids like cereal, it could decrease to rubble the digestive gadget for somewhat. If that doesn't artwork interior an hour or 2, attempt the old thermometer trick; i be attentive to it sounds gross, yet i've got had 3 little ones, and it fairly works like a allure. Use a rectal thermometer, and basically take his temperature. most of the time, the stimulation down there'll be adequate to reason a bowel circulate. If he does not have a bowel circulate in the subsequent 24 hours, call your pediatrician. There are some prescription meds that are very delicate on toddlers they might grant.

My daughter is almost 6 months and she does not roll well either. I asked her doctor at 4 months and he said that babies roll at different times. Not to worry too much and that some babies don't like to roll. Hang in there, he will be rolling all over the place soon enough!

Do not be concerned. My daughter did not roll over until she was 7 months old. Yet she was walking before a year old. Babies have not read the baby book that has the timetable for gross motor development.
Is your son pudgy? My daughter had "thunder thighs" and I think that could have had something to do with it.
BTW later in life she became a 3rd degree black belt and was captain of her high school volleyball team!

Well, babies develop at different rates. He should be able to roll over now...and he's done it before so you know he can. Try encouraging him to do that by putting him on his back, showing him a toy and putting it down by his side so he WANTS to roll over to see it.
Just because other babies his age are doing that on a regular basis, doesn't mean he's behind. He's really not....so I wouldn't be worried. Soon he'll realize that he knows how, and he'll be rolling all over the room!

Tummy time, tummy time and more tummy time... my bubs was the last in our mum's group to roll over from tummy to back (incidently bubs doesn't roll from back to tummy yet - 6mo). The more tummy time you give your baby, the more he is likely to roll over so he can get to his toys and other interesting things. It's great for neck arm and chest strength too.

That's about the age when my son (who's almost 8 months) really figured it out. He kept trying to kick up with his legs into the air which obviously doesn't work. Now that he's figured it out he can't get his arm out of the way so he's still having problems. Don't worry he'll get it.

He'll do it when he wants to. He probably doesn't like the feeling of it or something.
My nephew didn't roll all over the place when he was a little baby, now he's a terrible two. *sighs* =)

Children will make their milestones when THEY are ready too. But I don't doubt that he hasn't figured out how to get his arm out of the way to roll like that yet, my daughter did that for a while.
