Wow. Well, then. How the hell did my child manage to have a diaper rash, explosive poops, and sometimes projectile vomiting for nearly 5 months on my milk? No matter what I ate or did, the rash would come and go. Never left until I gave her Enfamil.

If breast milk ends rashes, please send me legitimate proof and scientific backup. I'd like to see it. My tryst with pumping is thankfully over, but I do still have a bit of milk. I'll consider pumping it for use as a diaper balm, cure for AIDS, cancer, hepatitis, etc. as long as someone sends proof.

Anyone interested? I have about 2 ounces from this morning. The baby can't have it because I had meself a few glasses of wine. $200 OBO. LOL!!

You see Wendy. Folk like you are EXACTLY the point I try to make. It's like breastfeeding is this crusade. It's old, lame, and beaten to death already. OK. We all get it. BREAST IS BEST...even apparently for their asses. Ok, check and roger.

What I won't cosign off on is all this hoo haa that people are attributing to a FOOD for infants. Breastfed babies die and get sick just like formula fed infants. Sorry for the rant, but I am truly tired of this propaganda and BS. Seriously. And I will say what I please, I try hard not to offend, BUT, I'm not going to dance around bullshit and say that it's roses. Breastfeeders have ENOUGH support. Go somewhere with all that propaganda.

Yawn...Brenda, you've come with better insults than these. C'mon, I know you can do better. Apply yourself. Use all those breastfeeding brains you got up there, and at least think of some fresh new insults to sling. Reading the same old ones is getting lame for the 100th time.

I was told to use breastmilk on cuts to heal them quicker - I don't know. Works for some, I guess.
My son had diaper rash a lot and we just used zinc - not the Balmex but the CVS brand which is stronger. It didn't stay away but it cooled it off very fast.

I see what you're saying- there's so dam much pressure to breastfeed it's ridiculous.

But, yeah, I breastfed too until my daughter was 1 year old. And she had her share of diaper rash. I think it's just because breast milk is so readily digested that the baby does have explosive poops pretty much everytime you feed them. And constantly having a wet butt will cause a diaper rash.

Where are you reading that breastmilk fixes diaper rashes? Is it if the baby eats the breastmilk? Or if you put it right on the butt? You've got me confused on this one.

Breastmilk kills bacteria which is a common culprit in some diaper rashes,it's awsome stuff thats why formula grows bacteria in a hour and breastmilk can stay out unrefridgerated for alot longer and not grow any.You are definately bitter and thats why your always coming up with smart *** remarks about breastfeeding....your mad at yourself that you did not choose the best for your baby because if you did breastfeed you would not be putting it down like you always do.Sorry but formula is inferior no matter what way you look at it,eventhough it can keep a child alive it should never be a first choice unless there are extreme circumstances.

I've used breastmilk to heal cuts, scrapes and bruises before. I've know people who have used it on diaper rash as well.

EDITED TO ADD:
Honestly....why in the heck are you so bitter and why are you always dredging this stuff up trying to start a fight of some sort. You are always so nasty sounding and confrontational when you get into this this kind of discussion. If you had a bad experience.....try to GET OVER IT instead of wallowing in it and attacking mothers who enjoyed breastfeeding and had good experiences.

ANOTHER EDIT:
Breastmilk is a LIVE SUBSTANCE (like blood or plasma) which is very different from formula or any other food. That makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Well since you asked, yes, it can help with diaper rash. So, what's wrong with that? Why is it bad that there are so many uses and benefits to something that women have naturally and can use for free?

Yes, it's a food. But food contains vitamins, minerals, etc. that all can help with various ailments, in this case diper rash. Food has properties that cause your body to react- prunes make you poop, caffiene makes you wired, broccoli has vitamin c, which is good for you. Why do you have such a hard time believing that breastmilk does so many good things?

I use it on my son on the off chance that he gets a diaper rash, which is rare, but it always clears it up better than cream.

You may have been eating something your baby was allergic to. I had to cut dairy out of my diet because my daughter was lactose intolerant when I was nursing.

If you want to donate your milk here is a link with locations and information to donate:

Sounds like you have developed a negative attitude towards breastfeeding. I am sorry it didn't work out the way you had hoped but please don't spread the negativity to those who are trying to breastfeed and need support.

Wow this girl is really bitter..and who can blame her? She's a failure! She failed to give her child the best..that's too bad hun..if you feel inferior maybe you should seek some therapy to get over your issues.

I'm very tired of you trying to put breastfeeders down. There is nothing to put down!! There is nothing you can say that will make you look anything but psychotic and like the failure you are. Posts like yours make me glad I breastfeed because I'm happy, my children are happy and I don't have to come here making myself look like an azz..i feel sorry for you child and for you actually.
