I am 28 weeks...if my baby was to be born today, would he live outside the womb? Would he be able to breathe on his own?

Any of you that own a Bumbo Seat, could you please let me know what you think of them? Are they useful? Are they worth buying one? I have a 3 month old who loves to sit up and I am considering purchasing one. Please Help!

We can get him to sleep no problem in the swing or when he's tired in our arms but he won't close his eyes and fall asleep in his crib on his own. We have Baby Einstein playing softly in the background (as usual), but no matter how tired (and cranky) he is, he just lays there and rolls around. Please help.

My little boy is 6 months old and is still using the same bottles that I bought before he was born. I keep chcking them for scratches ete and they are all fine. I'm just not sure whether I need to change them or just keep using them. I want to start him on a cup in a couple of months so buying new now would be a waste, but I will buy if I need to. I have changed the teats so I know that they are ok.

Are babies supposed to be born weighing 16.3 lbs, 25 inches these days? I was considered "big" back in the old skool days at 7.10 lbs, about 21.5 inches long. My 9 month old is about 25 lbs, and very tall for her age, but she is not all chunky in the face and legs. She's proportioned and big boned. People always think she's younger than she is because of how she carries her weight. Is meat and fat supposed to be dripping off kids bones these days or something? People look like they just heard the brownies I fed them were laced with weed when I tell them she is 9 months old, not 6 months. Can someone pass me the hog maws so my kid can suck upon them and fatten herself? Thanks so much...love, Jelly.

Our daughter is turning 1 at the end of the month and of course we are throwing a paryy for her. We live about 4 hours away from our parents and they all want to come to the party. We would love to have all her grandparents there but my inlaws are divorced and do not get along. My father in law is remarried. How do I handle this? Also, we only have room for one set of grandparents to stay. If my Mother and my Mother inlaw came there just wouldn't be any room and we can forget about my Mother inlaw and Father inlaw being in the same room. I don't want to deny any grandparent from attending but it's just not possible to invite them all!

A girl that I knew from work contacted me to tell me that she had a baby & that he was mine.
At 1 month old she has decided to give him up - I really want him to live with me. I am 22, with my own home & a good job (with flexible working hours). I am currently seeking legal advice.
My question is - The girls mum is currently looking after him, but is away from next week, so he is coming to stay with me. - I havent got the first idea about how to look after a baby, I realise that i will have to learn & quickly! - but i need advice concerning the basics of caring for his needs as i want to do the best for him - Any advice will be very welcome,
Sam.
