My 4-1/2mth old baby is not liking his car seat anymore. He gets so cranky that he cries like someone is hurting him. He also scoots himself all the way down that if it was not for the straps on the car seat, he will literally fall out the car seat. Any idea why he might be doing this? any ideas as to what to do to make the ride pleasant for him will help? I already have toys, and a musical mirror in which he can see himself (not working).

My 6 month old would do the same thing. Like she was in a straight jacket or something. For me I would give her a binkie to calm her down or have to feed her before I put her in.

What kind of car seat do you have him in? Is it possible that he is too big for it and he is uncomfortable? Maybe the straps are too tight? Does he cry when you first put him into the seat or after he's been in the car awhile? It might be that he gets carsick a bit or something like that. You could always try playing music that he would enjoy, that might help too.

Bring him something that he will like everytime the two of you go somewhere...alittle piece of candy or something (something he cant choke on though..) or crackers....some type of food lol babies love food....if he was a little older, I'd say make a game out of him getting in his car seat but hes still young. Try food lol good luck :)
