I don't mean what can you do to make one laugh, I mean genetically, or biologically, or even psychologically, what's going on?

I have a very active 4mo boy. He is from one end of the crib to the other, on his tummy, on his back, constantly moving. Twice in the last few days I have found him with his whole leg through the bars of his crib. All the way as far as it would go through. This terrifies me because I'm afraid he's going to break his leg, or foot. He uses his foot to push the bumper pad down. Anything I can do to stop him from doing this???
Thanks in advance.

My friend was 8.5 months pregnant when she went into labor this past Sunday. When she arrived to the hospital, they could not find baby's heartbeat anymore. The cord wrapped around his neck and he died before she even got to the hospital.
Then it took another 8 hours of labor for her to deliver a baby that she new was not alive any longer.

It breaks my heart, I want to help her, she does not want to talk to anyone or see anybody.

What can I do to help her?

My 1 week old daughter has not gained any weight..She is exclusivly breastfed, meaning no formula supplement, and nurses up to 15 times a day, sometimes more. She does not nurse for more than 5 min without falling asleep, so I do pump breast milk and will bottle feed her this or allow her daddy to feed her..Should she have gained any weight by now, or I am just being overly worried?
Its been a while since I have had a baby, and I just don't remember!

I'm a new mom with a 7 week old baby and we'll be traveling to PA next week, which is going to be a horribly long day , hour drive to denver airport, we're supposed to get to the airport 2 hours early, 3 hour plane ride and then another 2 hour drive to get to the in-laws house (and then a week of dealing with the in-laws but that's a different problem). Has anybody traveled with a newborn that has some advice for keeping him happy and me sane. Also, how did you manage the logistics, where do you change his diaper, where do you get warm water for formula, we're holding him(couldn't afford the third ticket) so where does his carseat go? ..etc.

Hands down I have to give up sitting for this little girl. Some of you may remember my questions about an overneedy child. Well over needy is an understatment! She has only proceeded to cry more and more when she is here and while I'd love to be able to help out her mom more, I just can't deal with a child who constantly wants me to hold her when I have a son of my own I need to tend to as well. This child has lately been on a kick where if I am holding my son she will scream until I come get her, even if I'm trying to feed my son. I can handle sitting for her for an hour or two, but she is just too high maintenence for me to handle a whole day for 5 days a week. And her poor mom is pregnant again and still caters to this child's every want. Her older of the two is in for a rude awakening when her mom doesn't pick her up every time she whines when that new baby arrives! Anyways, how do I tell her mom this without ruining a really good friendship?

My daughter does not have diarhea, but the provider claims she does. I know my baby, and her dirty diapers are normal for when she eats bananas a lot. She has just been on a banana kick lately and I have let her go with it. It makes her have a mushy, goopy diaper. It's not bad smelling or runny, I am a first time dad and I know this is normal for my baby. I can't keep leaving work and my troops over silly things. I spent almost 10 minutes trying to tell these brain dead women at the daycare that my baby poops like that after bananas and other fruits, like apricots or blueberries. She is active, no fever (98.5), and I would like to know if any other working parent has had issue like this (preferably military) and what did you do? I am using my day off today to hunt for new childcare, but sad, because my baby has friends there and she loves her Miss Katherine. But their protocol is over the top. The child is not sick.

my son was born 7lbs 15 oz and now he's seven weeks old and he's only put on a little over a pound. Everyone I know with little babies seems to be constantly giving weight updates and they're all just growin and growin. He's not underfed or sick (although he is a little hyperthyroid, but we feed him very frequently to keep up with his metabolism) and he certainly doesn't look thin, but should babies be growing faster than this or is it normal?

I am looking into buying a nice pair of infants 24K gold post earring for my baby girl. She is getting her ears pierced this weekend. She was born in November, what is that birthstone? I think a light blue stone will bring her eyes out good, she has blue eyes. Also should I give her tylenol before the precedure? She is almost 10 months old.

Thanks.

I've been feeding my 6 1/2 month old son rice cereal and have started on veggies & fruits as well. The problem is that he won't take it w/out it mixed with the rice cereal. It's this way with every food. I try it plain for a bit then put the cereal in it and he's fine. Go to reduce the cereal and he just hates it. Any suggestions? Has anyone had a baby just not like baby food at all?

My daughter, Annika, is 3 months old and sleeps about 6 or 7 hours a night, wakes up to eat, sleeps for another 3 to 4 hours and then dozes all day with usually another 3 to 4 hour nap in the afternoon. She seems to be awake for only an hour at a time. Am I crazy for thinking there's something wrong with this or should I just be thankful since I also have a 3 1/2 year old son?
