certainly talk to your peds doc (your 2-mo visit is coming up, right?). also, you mentioned you were feeding your baby frequently - how frequently, and is he bottle- or breast-fed? if you feed a breastfed baby too often, and he's only on you for a little while, he may only be getting the thin milk that comes out first - the fatty stuff comes at the end of the feeding, so he should drain you dry in order to really get the good stuff. also, make sure you are keeping well-hydated and nourished.
he should have 4-6 really wet diapers/day. does he act hungry? if he's in good spirits and peeing/pooping OK, then he's probably fine.
good luck!

I'd take him to your pediatrician. But if he eats normally and has normal bowel movements, I wouldn't be too concerned. My child did the same thing being born at 9 lbs 11 oz. and two months later had only put on 1.5 lbs. But he ate normally and had normal diapers. If your pediatrician says it's normal and that your son's in the norm of all the percentiles, don't worry. Enjoy your baby!

every time you weigh your self, until eventually your opposition grade textile, consistently see the variety on that scale and say plus or minus 5 pounds, it is how faulty it is, and much greater so for a beginner. Your over analzying issues, maximum suitable element you ought to do is pitch your scale, or a minimum of no longer weigh your self greater then as quickly as each and every 2 weeks, back as one small faulty degree, gauge your progression on how properly your sticking on your application ( a useful and relaxing one, the two are musts) and wait and spot, think of long term well being, and each and all the such countless reward that comprise it. you have countless time, so use it properly, it is often the beginning up of a great element, or a warfare for existence, all a count of ways clever you're approximately it.

If you are nursing there is a chance that he is not getting enough. If you are nursing you need to check to see how much milk you are producing. He should have gained more than that in 7 weeks. Talk to the doctor about it. I would be concerned. Good luck. I hope everything is OK.

Double weight by six months and triple by one year. Don't worry unless he looses a considerable amount of weight.
