if the date on the top of the jar is past do you have to throw it away because it says "best if used by" so does that mean that it is bad after that date?

Most nights I wake up 5 mins before my son does! Happends all the time, really weird even though he can wake at different times and some nights not at all.

We must be connected!

I am pumping and supplementing for my 6 day old newborn and can't get more than an ounce at each pumping every hour to two hours. I tried breastfeeding in the hospital and she was losing weight too rapidly so they needed to supplement...now she won't take the breast so I am pumping but can't get enough to stop supplementing. She takes about 2-3 oz every 3 hours and I can only pump 1 oz. Any ideas on how to increase my milk supply??? I really would like to feed breast milk exclusively!

He wriggles around alot in his cot and i often hear him (over his monitor) banging his head on the sides of his cot. He never wakes when he does this or cry's out but should I be worried? I have tried putting a padded thing around the out side but I'm worried he will try and climb it if he wakes up. (Serious answers only please)

The bottles are clean when I drop her off and have a gritty dirt looking substance that looks kind of like tea. They do not go outside with infants and there is no dirt in the room. Please Help! I don't want to accuse them of anything but I am concerned here. My baby is 5 months old and is still taking breast milk via bottles at daycare.

I read that if taking Fenugreek for increased milk supply, it shouldn't be taken more than a week or so at a time and would like to know why that is. Thanks!

I want to 'guess' my baby's due date, but the last 12 sites either didn't have a correct date (one only went to 2001!!) or they said my conception date was in September!! My last cycle was the 9 - 16th and my estamate conception is/was the 21st. Can any one help me? I can guess sometime in late May early June, but I'd like some numbers!!

My son is 5 1/2 months old and has reflux so he has cereal per his dr. in his bottle, he takes 4-5 oz. formula w/2- 2/2 tbs, cereal in it, and I have started offering solids in the am and he still does not take them the greatest, he goes to bed about 8:30-10 varying night by night, wakes @6-7 takes a 6 oz bottle, and sleeps then another 1-2 hours, wakes for the day, has solids (usually fruit, does not like cereal solid so far) around 10, then bottles around 11-12 then about every 3 hours from there on out until bed.So he is having around 5 bottles a day and solids at breakfast time. I was wondering when I should add more solids, especially if I having trouble getting him to take the ones I am offering? Is he too young to cut out a bottle. Is he on track? Could he just maybe to full for solids? He also is a cat napper, and those times vary, sometimes it is 3 naps of 30-45 others 5 naps of 10? Feel lost w/ no routine, please nothing saying "he is just baby" I know, just need some support

My 7 wk old son will not take a pacifier. This is absolutely fine with me in most situations...No weaning later, etc. BUT, when he throws a fit in the car or at the grocery store, what do I do to calm him down?

I am brestfeeding my 7 wk old son but will be returning to work soon. I began pumping and offering him a bottle 2-3 weeks ago now to ensure an easy transition. He took the bottle no problem up until a few days ago. Now he just cries, almost like he's in pain. Any ideas? Thought it may be thrush, but I don't see any white areas in his mouth.
