No. You don't want to do anything that will release toxins stored in your body into your breast milk. Besides, after childbirth is no time to cleanse. Now, it is only time to rest, eat properly, and take care of the body.

If you're worried about toxins, just treat yourself better in terms of eating the healthiest food possible, continuing your pre-natal vitamins and sleeping as much as possible.

I think I know what you're asking about your colon, so I am going to tell you that if your body can push out a baby, it can push out...

You know.

It's really important that you go to the bathroom within a few days of birth and avoid constipation at all costs. A suppository, if you need help, is fine, but avoid anything more radical.

New mothers get a lot of advice about how to take care of the baby, but not enough about how to take care of themselves. Below, are a list of links from my site http://www.babylune.com on this topic, but you might want to have a look around the other categories to help you recover from childbirth, a process that takes a full year after giving birth.

You shouldn't be "colon cleansing" at all. Ever!
Worthless quackery. There is NO scientific evidence to support ANY need to "cleanse" your colon. Your colon cleanses itself, and you DO NOT get any "impacted" fecal material in there AT ALL. It is all a MYTH.

I don't think it would be a good idea. I would be worried about the potential for toxins to be released into your breastmilk.
