Do you mean at the time that she is feeding your child? Why on earth would you want to? If this is what you are saying then if I were your wife I would think about taking my baby and myself far far away from you. That is just not appropriate. If you have typed your question in a way that made me mistake what you are saying, I apologize. If you MEAN why doesn't she want sex right after pregnancy, well lots of women don't. It is exhausting carrying another human being for 9 months and it is not exactly the least traumatic event giving birth. She is focusing on being a mother, sometimes nature plans that little break so that people don't run out and spawn ten minutes after giving birth. Give it a rest. Maturity is a wonderful thing...

PSsssttttt, people answering this question, read his previous questions, he means WHILE she is breastfeeding. Sick.

While she is breast feeding or because she breast feeds the baby?
If you want to have sex while your wife is breastfeeding, then you are a "couchon" (A PIG). However if the lack of interest on her part is because she is at the moment breast feeding then you need to understand that this is a normal reaction. If it is difficult to talk to her about this, speak to your pediatrician, I am sure that you will be able to discuss the situation professionally and get much better answers than you would on line since every situation is different. Her lack of interest may not be because of breast feeding.
I don't think that you guys understand the changes that our bodies go through when we've experienced different traumas with our bodies. Yes, giving birth though natural, is a trauma. Your hormones tend to do their own thing for quite a while.
Have you heard of post partum depression? So yes a lot happens.
Are you helping with the baby or does she have other help so she can get some "me" time everyday?
Be a Dear and not a JACKASS; okay?

Sir...do you realize how idiotic your question sounds?
Are you such a sex-addict with such an addiction that you can't even allow the mother of your child those few moments of intimacy that is necessary when the mother is bonding with and feeding her child?

Get off your wife for a few minutes and go "self satisfy" yourself if you find you can't wait long enough.

If, however, your wife is insisting on you waiting to have sex with her until after the baby is "weaned" then there must be good reasons for that other than the fact she is breast-feeding. There is no physiological reason to avoid having sex during this period of time so there are other factors going on that is causing your wife to use the "excuse" to not have sex while your baby is at the breast-feeding phase of it's life.
Check: 1) your breath, 2) your deodorant, 3) that you have bathed, etc.......NO, I'm NOT kidding.

I breastfed 3 babies for a year each. Think of it this way. You are contantly touched, groped, fondled and stimulated. It takes away a lot of the urges to be intimate and my OB/Gyn said that there is a horomone release during breastfeeding that actually satisfies the horomones that cause a sex drive. It is not her fault, it just is probably not there for her right now. Plus, you give all day long and you are exhausted. It took me quite a while to actually look forward to sex again and not do it dutifully. Take a shower, take care of yourself, and offer to hold the baby a bit more.

Most likely because she views this as a bonding time for her and the baby. It is a wonderful thing to be able to breastfeed your child. It's a beautiful memory that she may not want to be turned into a sexual experience. So, respect her wishes. It can't hurt to ask if you can have sex when she is done. She'll probably appreciate that you will wait, but don't hound her to finish fast.

How old is your baby? How about you give her a break from sex for a while? Don't be so selfish and have some consideration for your wife who (quite rightly) giving her attention to your child. You can go without sex for a few months can't you?!

Do you mean at the exact moment she's breastfeeding or just in general, as in as long as your child is on the breast milk, no sex.

Your question is pretty vague, my friend.

She doesn't want to because she's exhausted from taking care of the baby. She's using this as an excuse for not saying to you "I just don't want to have sex right now."

Well, if your baby is really 2 days old like stated in your other question, maybe it's because her bottom hurts from pushing out a baby, she's bleeding like a stuck pig, she's sore and exhausted and leaking milk.
