excuse me but i had twin boys and my husband loved to come
home and feed them he would have felt left out. did any of you ask
your husbands if they would like to share in the experience of
bonding when they feed the baby or you just give them the
dirty work of changing the diapers? playing is fine but like all of you said you like to feed the baby because you are bonding the father has not had that chance if he wanted it.

all of you talk about bonding with the babies when you breast-feed
but how does the father bond if he wanted to. you have total control
over the babie. if you could pump why would you not? if you dont
pump then the father will feel left out and never ever get that
chance of bonding like you do. is that fair?

I used to love my job, but I just had my baby in June, and I feel awful going back to work (I have two more weeks of maternity leave left). My mom will be taking care of my baby boy while I am at work, so at least I don't need to worry about leaving him with a stranger. Unfortunatelly, staying at home longer is not an option for me. I feel guilty, sad, and I cry every day. How can I make it easier both for my baby and for myself?

I decided not to breast feed my baby in the hospital because of being on Prozac. But now I am wondering if it is too late to change my mind?

My daughter is 3 days old now and has been bottle feeding since birth. I was taking my Prozac every other day for a week before I had her (trying to wean- but had to be induced early due to pre-eclampsia). So she was getting a lower dose. She has not shown signs of withdrawl... so I don't think my milk would cause toxicity at this point.

I feel really bad for not trying and feel I should. Has anyone else tried picking up breast feeding when their baby is only a few days old instead of immediately?

Do you think its a wise idea to bother trying at this point? Just curious for others opinions! I may ask another lactation consultant but I want real moms experiences and advice!

Thank you!

This isn't exactly the right forum, but there are always lots of people here to answer questions:

I am planning on getting married next summer to my boyfriend of 4 years. We have been talking about this for a while now, almost 2 years, but the problem is that we have a 6 month old son together and I am afraid that my family will be convinced that we are getting married just because of the baby, like a cousin of mine did last year.

I know this will go over great with his family, as we get on very well. His parents have been referring to me as a daughter-in-law for quite a while now, and his sister and I are good friends and have introduced each other as 'my sister-in-law' before.

Has anyone else gone through this? Any suggestions on a good way to announce it? Any thoughts on how to deal with the feared backlash?

On Saturday I am being induced, my boyfriend wants his family in the waiting room.
I agreed yet wanted to notify the family that they will probably not be invited into the labour room, even in the hours before delivery. I am just a private person, it makes me uncomfortable.
Another thing that bothers me is the fact that he wants to take the baby out and pass her around within her first few hours of life.there will be 6-7 close family members that all want to hold her,
I have told my family that I cant promise that they will hold her that day, I just dont want her being passes around right away, that also makes me uncomfortable.
Although they were a little diappointed, they understand.
My boyfriend however, thinks I am being unreasonable.

Anyone want to share personal experiences?, anyone else feel this way?

If so, were there any reactions? I'm planning to breastfeed my daughter, but know I will probably need to supplement one or two bottles a day when I go back to work. Thought we might try the organic formula this time -- just don't know much about it.
