I used the powder and had a container from Munchkin that held 3 servings of formula. Each section could hold enough powder for an 8oz. bottle and I still had room in the section to add the rice cereal too! (My son had reflux and the Dr. told me to use the cereal in his bottles to help.)

I know you said that you use Enfamil...that's what I started using, but then I switched. I talked to my sons Dr. first and she told me that ALL formula, no matter what brand is regulated by the FDA and has to meet the requirements. I asked her if I could switch to Target brand and she told me yes. I read the labels, they're the same!!! The Target brand is $12 cheaper per can, and my son adjusted to it well. I weaned him onto it to make sure he didn't have any problems switching. I used 3/4 Enfamil and 1/4 target for 4 days, then 1/2 and 1/2 for 4 days, then 1/4 Enfamil and 3/4 Target for 4 days, then all Target. I never had any problems with the Target brand like clumping or anything. I just thought I'd pass along the tip...it's a big money saver.

Powdered, it's definitely easier to use, because you don't have to refrigerate it. Just make it one bottle at a time and it's ready to go. I also like those single serves in the diaper bag. they're great! Also, I always fill the bottle with the amount of water needed for the next feeding, and leave it on the kitchen table with the formula overnight, that way when baby wakes up, all I have to do is add powder and shake! It saves time when you have a hungry baby on your hands.

I used Concentrated while I was at home because I though it was pretty easy. Just add some water and give it a little shake.. there ya go. If I had to go somewhere, I kept a little container in the diaper bag with powdered formula in it. I bought it in a large can, but put some in a little dish to take in the diaper bag. It saved room and some money. God knows that with growing babies around.. you need to save some money when you can.

I always use concentrate. If you compare it to the powdered you get more for your money, and it mixes so much easier. It is also easier on my sons stomache(he has reflux). With concentrate all you have to do in the middle of the night, with only one eye open, and not sure what you are doing anyway, is put the formula in the bottle and warm it since it was pre-mixed earlier that day. Nothing to measure when your half asleep!!

I only buy ready to feed if I am on the go and somehow run out of formula. It is way too expensive, but convenient.

I liked powdered best because it is easier to transport. The problem with concentrated or ready to use, is that it needs to be refrigerated or it can spoil really quickly. I did use ready to use for the first two months when the baby was getting up every 3 hours or so, because mixing powder at 2 am sucks, but after that I think powder is best. Plus it's cheaper and goes further...

I always used powdered....although it is not as easy and fast as the other two types, it is the cheapest and still easy enough to put together! The concentrated and ready to use needs to be heated after it has been in the fridge, and neither has a long shelf life once opened, where as the powdered lasts a long time (you can stock up on it when it goes on sale!!)....whatever works best for your lifestyle and budget is the way to go!! =) Good Luck!

I only liked to use Powder formula when it was an emergency situation like traveling long distances. Just think to yourself...."If it were me what would I like"? Would you like to drink milk made from water and a little powder?
Powder doesn't have the same consistency than concentrated does.

My daughter did just fine on Regular Concentrated formula and it had a good consistency to it.

Ready to use: only used if the regular concentrate was out at the store...It's really expensive too.

I always preferred Powdered. We participated in the WIC /Women Infants and Children program and they would not let me get the powdered though. So I used concentrate mostly. Its ok but I liked being able to make one bottle at a time when on the go.

The BEST thing I kept in my son's diaper bag were single serve sticks of the powder.I think enfamil makes them. They were perfect for on the go.At home,it's a matter of choice.Powder is always cheaper though. The single serve sticks are pricey too,but SOOO worth it when you are leaving the house.

Powdered is the most economical...... and what I did (with twins) was I made the days supply in the morning in a big container, and then heated it as I needed it throughout the day. I will admit, ready to use is very easy and great for travelling, but you will save ALOT of money with powder.
