What is your question? Are you asking why would you pump your breasts? If you are leaving the baby with someone your breast milk will be bottled. Also the daddy might want to feed the baby. Another reason is if you're producing more milk than your baby needs, you need to relieve the pressure when you become engorged(full)

For one thing, giving a baby a bottle can actually interfere with their learning to latch on to the breast. Even if the bottle contains breast milk, it is very different from the breast itself, and if a baby learns to feed from a bottle, feeding from the breast can become more difficult.

i nursed and pumped at the same time so that i could work and daddy could help. when i had teh baby with me, i always nursed, but at work, before bed, and when i got up, i pumped. i liked being able to pump lots so that baby would have breastmilk and i could have a break but i loved nursing too. it was a time i could do nothing else but love on my baby. it was also easier to nurse that do all the dishes that build up pumping and bottle feeding. also, easier at night to nurse and dose back off then get up and fix a bottle and have to stay awake. so call me lazy but that's why.

When I was nursing my son, I pumped if I needed to go somewhere and needed a babysitter, so that if he got hungry while I was gone, he had something.
