Tylenol will be your and his/her best friend. It can be administered every 4 hours for the localized pain at the injection site(s). Also a cold pack would help but we both know that won't be feasible with a 2 month old. However, you can bathe him/her in a tepid bath. Most pediatricians tell parents to medicate with Tylenol immediately after the immunizations and to contine it every 4 hours for the next day to help ease the pain.
Don't be surprised to notice if the injection site(s) get a little hard and feel like a "knot". This sometimes occurs due to the child's muscle size. It is not as big as ours and being so it can not accommodate the medicine as well. However, it is normal to have a knot of some sort. It if remains for quite some time (> 2 weeks) notify the pediatrician.
Applying gentle massage to the site(s) can help but you may want to put this option off for a day or two, as the site is still quite sore for your little bundle of joy now.
I hope this has helped. I am a RN and have two children myself. If in doubt, you can always call the local ER and the nurses sometimes give suggestions. You may also call the medical exchange to speak to the doctor who gave the immunizations or one of his/her collegues.
By the way, before giving Tylenol, or any medication, kn ow the weight of yor child. The dose is calculated by weight. If hte child was just seen by the doctor, you should know the current weight. A pharmacist can give you the correct dose.

Give him baby Tylenol or Motrin. No Aspirin. You can put a cold pac on the shot site and that may help. Also he is probably gonna be cranky for a few days so just try to comfort him any way you can. If he starts having weird behavior or a high fever call your doctor immediately. (even if you just feel something is wrong never be afraid to call your doctor they work for you remember that) Also with my first child I loved the book "What to Expect the First Year" and "What to Expect the Toddler Years" You can find them anywhere from Wal-Mart to any book store.

half a dose of tylenol should do the trick. You can also do this about 1/2 hour before you go to get shots. That way the medication is about to work when he gets his shots. Helps ease the pain and will make him feel better.
If he needs more give him another half dose or so about 4 hours later.

Tylenol and a cold compress...probably won't sit for an ice pack but put a wet washcloth in the freezer for 10-20 minutes and try that...maybe someone else will have an idea of how to get an ice pack on the baby

Hi
This is very normal for babies to be a little sick, upset and moody after shots. Let your baby sleep more and avoid loud noises and stuff like that. Give him a couple of days and he will be ok again :)
And please do not give him additional medicine. He is only 2 months old. Any pills or any other medicine harms their liver.
The only thing they are actually allowed is Paracetamol (suspension) and only if he has fever.

Maybe a little bit of infant Tylenol and massage where he received his shots. Then give him some cuddling and lots of love...no worries about spoiling him...he's only two months :-)

If it is just the grumpies - do what he normally like you to do to comfort him. Mine wanted to nurse a lot. It wasn't until he had his second and third round of shots that he had bad reactions (fever and vomiting).

Tylenol, lots of fluids and snuggles. If you didn't give him Tylenol beforehand, make sure you give it to him about 30 minutes to an hour before his next session of shots. It will minimize his discomfort.

The only way to make him feel better is to give him Tylenol or Motrin and rub his little legs with alcohol.
