Besides being illegal , it is just plain stupidity.
1. Anybody that leaves a baby in a car by themselves are risking danger from other people, either from kidnapping the baby or someone stealing the car with the baby in it!
This has happened.
2. A baby can dehydrate very quickly in a car and even cause death.
I use to work for Childrens services and trust me I know these things occur.
But besides that, a bit of common sense would not go astray.
So NO , I have never done it.

no way, who would be stupid enough to leave a baby in the car with the windows rolled up on a hot summer day, the baby could die

Windows up or down, hot or cold, in California, at least, you'll be arrested for leaving your child alone in the car. (I'm not sure at what age they are allowed to be left in the car, though.)
Personally, I think the state ought to stay out of such things, but then I hear about children dying from the heat, and I wonder . . . Still, leaving them while mom runs in to 7-11 for a quart of milk ought not to be the business of the state.

Why haven't you been left in a car with the windows rolled up on a hot summer day? I think the world would be a better place if it happened to you rather than my kid.
If you're so cold and uncaring, then you won't care if I report this, will you?? Didn't think so. Don't care what you think, either. But thanks anyways!! :)

No, although I have left my 5 month old son in the car alone before.
A few days ago, I left my boy in the car alone for 5 minutes with the windows open just a tiny bit for air.
It was only for 5 minutes, the windows were open, and it was not a hot day.

Oh yes that would be smart so a cop can drive by and see your child in a car alone and then boom kiss your child bye bye because doing that is against the law and child endangerment.
It does not matter if you lock your doors someone can always come pick the lock or bust the window and snatch your kid and as for leaving them in the heat WTF? Do you know how many kids die each year because stupid parents do that and almost every single one of them are charged for it too.

I have never seen such a horrible question. What are you thinking? If you are trying to get people's attention I think it worked but it's pretty sad that you would even have to ask that serious or not serious. Haven't you heard the news where kids and animals have died in just a matter of a few minutes?

Well I don't have kids, but i won't even leave my dog in the car... how retarted are you... number one it will kill a child (have you not seen all the headlines about children dying from being left in the car). I don't even leave my dogs outside for more than an hour in this heat... let alone a child!

No. I have more consideration of my child's life than to leave her unattended in a hot car. I take her into the store with me, even if she's asleep. I don't let her nap in the car; I put her in her crib and hope she decides to go back to sleep.
