My baby is 4 weeks old and I'm nursing. When she nurses she is really fussy and she wont sleep. I'm just trying to figure out if she is cranky because she was up for a while or could it be because she had a bottle of formula yesterday or because I ate some sour cream yesterday and she has a belly ache. I am lactose intolerant and my other daughter was when she was little. I can eat small amounts of dairy but not a lot.
I just switched from regular formula to soy, maybe that's it? Any advice? If it's gas or a belly ache how long will the crankiness last?

I have asked 3 doctors that I have seen and the pharmiscist...they say it's fine but sometimes when I stop taking it it's like he is withdrawling. Even webmd says it's okay but was wondering if any one knew.

He does in between nursings and sticks them pretty far down his throat. He also spits up spoiled like milk. Could that be related?

Ours is sleeping about 11 and we are hoping that isn't too much! She is developing perfectly and has met all developmental milestones for her age. She gets cranky if we keep her up past 7:00 p.m.! Thanks!

Due on Sept. 17th, and feeling excited but SO overwhelmed and scared about all the details that caring for a baby will bring. I was the one that asked the question about washing the baby's clothing first, and got SO many great replies from that...and also learned so much by reading the questions and answers from others. So I just wanted to say THANK YOU, and let you know what a comfort it is to know this site is here, and all the great help you all are willing to provide from your own experiences!

I'm almost 10wks. post partum, got my first period 2wks ago and started my b.c. pills(yasmin), and I'm STILL bleeding. My doc's gonna call me in some Provera to stop it, but he didn't explain why I would do this. And how does Provera help?

i have twin 5 month olds.. it's getting way too expensive to feed them formula so i switched over to baby food. at first i tried to spoon feed them but it just seemed like a waste of time. all they do is slober all over the place and it takes like an hour and a half to feed both of them. i put the baby food in their bottles and mixed it up with water so they could drink it. easier for everyone. has anyone else done this? is it a wierd thing to do?

My daughter is too big for her baby tub, but can't quite sit up unsupported yet. Any suggestions because she is really slippery and I tried just helping her to sit with support, so now her back is really clean, but the front, not so much.

It's just like you can't really play with her, all she wants to do is nurse when she is awake. If she is not nursing she gets fussy and starts to cry.

My baby girl is going to be one in August, I want to get some cool ideas for the party because I know that most who attend are going to be adults. I want to base the fun around the adults, but still have the 1st birthday theme. I don't want them to just show up for cake and ice cream. I need games, activities, etc.

I have tried having the water already in the tub; running the water after he's in the tub; having toys in the tub... He literally screams to the TOP of his lungs as soon as the water touches him. And no, the water is not too hot or too cold.
We took him to the beach and he hated the ocean water as well. He acts as if it _hurts_!!!! Please, only answer with real answers. I do not want 'funny' comments.... or mean comments either... Thanks!

My son is 4 1/2 months old and has loved to stand (not on his own) for the past month or so. He supports his weight no problem but obviously has balance issues still. We've told friends and family and some have told us not to let him stand yet for developmental reasons. Some say he could develop "flat feet" and some say "bowlegged". Most don't say anything and are excited. He's not struggling, he's strong enough, he'll be upright for at least 5 minutes, bend his legs and go back up. Old wives tale or something we should stop him from doing?

I thought that she dropped it but she still had it and by the time we got home she chewed about 1/4 of it off. I am mortified? Will she be sick or will I just see pieces of Elmo in her diaper later?
