This inflatable ducky tub made by Munchkin was a life saver when my daughter was at that stage!
I tried several things including sitting in the big tub with her on my lap. Everything was really hard on my back!! This ducky works great to keep baby sitting up and it's comfy for baby and mommy too! My little girl has been using it since she was about 5 months old.

Lay a really thick towel down in the bottom of the tub and put an inch or so of nice, warm water. You can lay her down on the towel and have your hands free to wash her. Just have everything you need to bathe her within reach.

Take a bath towel and fold it like you would to store it and put it in the tub before you run the water,sit baby on it and then you just have to support her back if she is still wobbly and she wont slip slide all around.when your done just squeeze out the towel and throw in the laundry.

We have a baby tub that converts into a seat that has suction cups on the bottom. That's what I use for my 9 month old son. I think we bought it at Target. I think my sister found one at a resale shop for $5.

They make larger baby tubs that are more like car seats, that you put in the bathtub instead of the sink. It has a tray across the front, like the car seat, so that she'll be held in place.

Use the kitchen sink, its just easier.

heres some pictures of how to hold a baby when its wet. You use one hand and sort of hold the infants shoulder/arm, and support the head and back with your forearm.
If your baby cant hold its head up yet, its too early to take it out of the new born plastic tub :)

Easy. Lay her down in the tub and fill it up with a couple inches of water. Wash her while she is laying down in the tub. Drain the water and rinse her off. Ta-duh!

Try the sink, clear dishes and other things from the sink. Rinse it out, and make sure it's clean. Fill it with water, and bathe as usual. Most sinks have a spray nozzle that will also allow to help clean suds and impurities. *^-^;

It is easier than you think.. I too had to fill the tub with a little water and placed my lil one in the tub.. then I washed him... I also learned to shower with him... incredible bonding experience! I recommend it!
