My son will be 13 in May, i was wondering if u know of any book that will help me learn & find out how to handle the changes he's going though, & what I need to look forward to. We are very close, he can talk to me about anything, but i see changes, & i want to know how to handle some siturations, like having to tell him 3 times to do something, or mumble behind my back, he's never done that before, instead of yelling & getting pissed off at him. He seems to come back stronger when i yell. I looked on the web for a book, but i thought maybe some mom out there can refer a book to me. Thanks

Ok, here's the background info.

Yeah, I do like her a whole lot. The way she dances, her jumpiness, and the way she actually likes me (I think she does), it's just awesome.

We've been talking for a while, bumping in the hall, and her telling me to get rid of that one picture on my MySpace (now gotten rid of, PhotoShop version is up), and I think she is the one. Megan is the one for me.

Now, I shouldn't just instantly ask her out (for two reasons; one being I'm hanging with my friends on the tenth), but rather wait a while.

So how long should I wait to ask Megan out?

And a side-question, should I rub this in people's faces that doubted me in the past?

Ok, pretty soon, we're gonna be taking the California High School Exit Exam. [CASHEE] which consists of 8th grade math and 10 grade english.
Students who don't pass won't get their diploma their senior year, but a certificate of completion. [We start taking it during our sophmore year]
To pass the test [if we didn't the first time]we get one chance sophmore year, 2 chances junior and 4 senior. Fair enough Fair enough. It's pretty debatable because they're saying students were graduating high school literally unable to read, write, or do simple math, but do you think it's fair that even if a student, who's met ALL the requirements to graduate high school and is just a horrid test taker, doesn't pass the test and isn't allowed to graduate? I mean, I know you get 7 chances to pass it, but stil do you think it's fair to that one kid to have worked so hard, already proving that they can read and do math, to not be able to graduate? This isn't ME btw, I'm just curious.

I do not feel this way, in fact I am just the opposite, I believe in saving yourself for marriage.

Just wondering, does anyone on here feel that it's best to have sex at a young age? Have you done it and you don't regret it? Why do you feel this way?

Alright, so the first thing i'm going to say is that i'm 14 years old and i live in a calm neighbor hood in florida. eventhoguht i'm that age my mom doesn't let me go out of my condominium while she is at work. So i wan tips on how to convince her to let me go out while she is at work. Does it matter whether you go bed at say, 2 or 3am or 11, or 12 am. As LONG as you get the 8-10 hours sleep a night? Does it matter what time you go to bed, IF your trying to grow?

Ok I'm having some troubles sleeping it usually takes me an hour and a half sometimes a lot longer to fall asleep. And when I do finally get to sleep I wake up two or more times in the middle of the night and it takes me a long time to get back to sleep. About a month ago I woke up at 1:00 am and it took me about 20 minutes to get back to sleep, but I woke up every hour after that until I had to get up for school. I don't know what to do DO NOT SAY COUNT SHEEP!!!!!!!

My friend son met a girl who's a runaway. Her mom is a drug addict that birthed eleven children and three of them live with her. The girl's dad is in jail and the mom was recently released from prison.
The problem is that my friend's son is 26 yrs.,the young lady admitted that she lied when she said that she was 18 yrs. old. We recently found out that she's only 15 yrs. old and pregnant.
My bf is devasted and so is the son. I suggested that they go to
Family services,but they're scared that it will be reported to the police and he will go to prison for staturtory rape.I know that teenagers these days are a lot more developed than in my day and too often try growing up too fast.
The young lady's mom doesn't seem to care one way or the other if her daughter comes home or not. She's been away from home for 6 months, and not in school.
What should this family do?

I have 4 children. Im starting to feel very isolated and board at home and am desperate to go back to uni and get a degree, but i dont want to miss out on the children either. They grow up so fast, but im nearly 28 and feel i need to hurry up and get my degree as im getting old.
I have already applied for the course but i dont want to regret going back too early and missing out!
What do you think??
