if so dont you think he needs to investigate a little more why the teen is so out of control. For example, ask whether if the teen is being abuse or if parents got divorced. Thats what Dr. Phil would do right?

Ex spouce has had custody of 17 year old son for 11 years, and has instilled no disicipline or structure to child's life. Child has been in and out of drug rehab's and juvinelle detention centers for 6 years; now ex is done with the child and wants to reverse custody....which was fought 'dirty' for in the beginning...was always told that son living with me was not an option, till now...???

My 15 yo daughter is a great girl, good student, don't get in troubles, wise. Unfortunately she has difficulty to make friends, she's the kind of girl that doesn't talk much, is a bit shy, has few friends. She feels she's different from most girls her age, an actually very different from her 17 yo sister, who's a social butterfly. My 15 yo is not a popular girl, and sometimes she resents this, especially when she compares herself with her sister. She likies math, is realy good at it, studies more than her school requires, and since this is not very usual in a girl, she feels lonely, because Math is not exctly te kind of subject most teens like to talk about. Anyway, she also swims.
lately she's been lonely and I know she looked for help in on line groups and with some teaches she trusts. I feel so sad, it's like she "fired" her mom. She's sad and didn't come to me, maybe I'm no good to give her love, to help her with her problems. What was my mistake?

They are the most popular girls in school. Sometimes they are nice too me sometimes they aren't. I don't think they like my friends but they haven't tried to get to know them. I think they make fun of me behind my back. Yet they write poems in English
class about crying at night because of all the rumors about them.
A little part of me can't help but think that they just need true friends.
Should i invite them?

What does it mean when a boy gives you a free drink (on the house) and they are really not supports to do that, they did to me instead and no one else in my family. Because my sister have ask for one and she said it three times and the boy have just not pay attention her, but no me!!! He was smiling real big and he was very happy also. So please tell me what it means! It has happen 8 months ago.

My daughter's 13th birthday was yesterday all the pipes busted in our bathroom a few weeks ago and it costs alot of money to be fixed for this reason I told her that her birthday party and presents would have to go on hold for 3 days when my husband gets paid. All day yesterday she said I ruined her birthday she hated her birthday kept bringing up the fact I didn't get her anything just really making me feel like a low life I felt bad anyway but just her saying things to me like this made me cry for the whole night it's not that I was purposely broke I have plans to make it up this weekend why would she treat me this way I've always been there what hurts is her father is always in and out of prison I say he's only seen her on 2 birthdays and she never says anything to him ever why do I have to be treated like crap aomeone who has never let her down and has always been there shouldn't I get a break for trying to keep our house livable and how would anyone handle this if they were me

I have a 18 year old daughter who is a senior in high school. The other day she came home with a pregnancy test..luckily it was negative. I took her for birth control last year and now I find out that she doesn't take it. I have her scheduled for a Depo-pravera shot but I am worried because I found out she is hooking up with guys she is not even dating. In the last week I have found out about two different guys. I have tried to talk to her about her behavior and she doesn't think she is doing anything wrong...she actually thinks that they may want a relationship with her but why woud they when she puts out ahead of time. She says she uses condoms but I am scared...what should I do???
