if so dont you think he needs to investigate a little more why the teen is so out of control. For example, ask whether if the teen is being abuse or if parents got divorced. Thats what Dr. Phil would do right?

I just watched an episode of that like 5mins ago. I do sometimes think what would Dr. Phil do? As a matter fact Dr. Phil had an outta control teen in "The Dr. Phil House"...He is a MUCH better than Maury. At least Dr. Phil tries to find out whats wrong. He helps the kids, gets them counseling and sends them to a boarding school. I think Maury is just in it for the money, i mean one day in a prison isn't going to change those teens for long. I bet a week or two after the show they go back to doing exactly what they were doing before.

its the same thing with the "baby daddy" episodes....When Maury says "You are not the father" and the women (whore) go running back stage Maury says "its ok its ok we will bring you back just tell us who to test"....basically Maury just exploits ppl and gets rich doing it.

No, he shouldn't. It doesn't matter WHY you behave the way you do, only that you do. Just because your parents are divorced, or alcoholics, or beat you is NO EXCUSE to misbehave.

ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE.

Plus, Maury isn't a doctor, has very little psychological training, and doesn't claim to be either of those things. He is not there to analyze the situation but to discuss it and try to help the parents.

Dr. Phil may ask what happened in the kids life. He would then tell them to GET REAL and suck it up.

My favorite Maury shows are the ones with the women who have a kid and have no idea which of a dozen possible fathers it is and they keep testing them and it comes back negative each time. I think it is HILARIOUS.

I'm sure they investigate that behind the scenes if you were sexually assaulted would you want the whole world to know? Besides even that is no reason to disrespect the people that gave you life. I think that you should endure till you are old enough to get emancipated some parents just dont know how to raise children but that dont mean go and turn into a big prostitute who hits their mother

i agree with you. only once did a girl in maury speak out that she was just out of control to get her mom's attention due to her mom was out with different men after her parents divorce.

there's a cause for everything. they should help them, find the root of the problem. not just jump to conclusions

Everyone is responsible for their own actions, and trying to justify their behavoir doesn't make it ok, or acceptable. I think that they are simply trying to tell them that it is unacceptable.
