i used to be but then everyone is trying to be emo i think you're only allowed if you were three years ago. whatever i was emo since 7th grade but now its been taken over by THE MAN what can i do now

Emo does suck...but that is because i don't care for those kind of people. just because you were once emoong time ago doesn't make you emo now. ok...being emo in 7th grade doesn't really count because that is when you are truly discovering yourself. just be who you are and say what you fell cuz those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. have a nice day!

Wow. That makes you so cool. You were emo before it was popular. It was gay then, and it's gay now. It doesn't suck because everyone is doing it. It sucks because it's a lifestyle that promotes self mutilation and dressing like a b,itch.
Were you only emo because not a lot of people were at the time? It doesn't make any sense. Why don't you just be yourself, and don't worry about what's popular and what's not, instead of trying so hard to be different. That is just as bad, or even worse, than someone trying to be popular. At least people trying to be popular admits the people that surround them affect their life. People trying so hard to be different are in denial of the fact that the people that surround them are affecting their lifestyle choices.

Emo means to be emotional. To me, the whole 'emo' thing... it's all just labels that are given to people. People are just people. You are who you are and you shouldn't try to label yourself. I think that you are being taken over by someone that has more angst than you do. You should be happy that you aren't quite as sad anymore, unless you are talking about the style.
