My son will be 13 in May, i was wondering if u know of any book that will help me learn & find out how to handle the changes he's going though, & what I need to look forward to. We are very close, he can talk to me about anything, but i see changes, & i want to know how to handle some siturations, like having to tell him 3 times to do something, or mumble behind my back, he's never done that before, instead of yelling & getting pissed off at him. He seems to come back stronger when i yell. I looked on the web for a book, but i thought maybe some mom out there can refer a book to me. Thanks

There is a whole series of books by the Gesell Institute, I think, and each book is called something like 'Your two year old' and then 'Your five year old' and so on. I think they have a book that covers the early teen years too. It's a well-written series and you learn a lot about how your kid shares all these traits that other kids have at his age. Helps you to relax a bit. Good luck!

Listen yo no book can help you man you need to ask an expert and that would be a kid and lucky for you you gots one typing this for you. I'm 12 and nearly 13 myself and see the thing is right he's going through changes coz he's becoming a teen (I lernt this in school) and don't worry about it it's normal I mean I do that as well see when my mum and dad tell me to do something I never do it the first time yo and see coz he's getting older he might want his space and be away from you and his dad (no offence) because see when we're getting older right we want to be more independant so we want our freedom-got that bit of the tv. Just ask him why he's acting like that and if he's having mood swings then it's definetly signs of becoming a teen.
Hope I Helped
