I am 18 (19 in March) and my boyfriend is 25. Age differences are meaningless when the couple is loving, caring and respectfull of each other. Women and men mature differently and it is possible for a 15 year old girl behave and appear like a 20 year old woman. It is just a likely for a 15 year old boy behave and appear like a 10 year old child.
In this case I think that if the 16 year old behaves like a woman and her boyfriend treats with the mature love and respect that she deserves, there is no reason that this young couple should not enjoy the joy and intimacy of the love that they share.

There is not a big age difference, but the maturity level could possibly be a big difference. It depends on the experiences of the individuals. I personally would not want my 16yr old daughter to be with a 19yr old guy.

i think that's illegal, but what's the diff when she's 19 and he's 22? I say it's all good. Celine Dion and her husband are like 100 years apart! And no one says ****. I guess it's because they're adults. But 16 and 19 yrs old are still young, too. 19 yrs old is not an adult yet. 19 is still a young teenager age.

It's not a big age gap. The trouble is he is over 18 and she is under 18. Her parents could have him charged with contributing to a minor. That is about the same as rape I know a guy this happened to years ago

My husband was 19 and I was 16 when we started seeing each other. His parents had a huge fit. 16 is the consenting age in most states so don't worry. It really isn't that big a deal although be careful about approaching the subject with her parents.

I think it's fine, if it is real love. I was nearly 14 when i met my husband - he was 17. We have now been married for nearly 9 years, together for nearly 15 years. You are not a teenager for ever so don't make decisions that will affect your future life based on things that change - like age!

THIS IS NOT A BIG YEAR DIFFERENCE AND I DONT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. however, some states do not consider a 16 yr old as being old enough to consent. check with your police department as to what the age of consent is in your state. In indiana consent is 16.

If they are having a sexual relationship then the 19 year old could go to jail for statutory rape. Even if the 16 year old says its ok, if caught he could get arrested.

It's not a HUGE difference, don't get me wrong don't lose her if you really love her. PLus i've seen bigger age differences... But I have to agree not to get too serious until she is over 18. You could be arrested if she accidentally gets pregnant, or her parents aren't on your side or somethin.
