Adolescent - November 2006

At my school every teacher has this paper that says my school's name and it has their name. So if i didn't want to go to class and i wanted to be late isn't it a good idea to write on the paper please excuse so and so for being late to class. oh yeah at my school the teachers don't talk 2 each other so do you think this wud work? and 4 me 2 get the paper itz easy u just take it off the teachers desk.

Does anyone know how to skip class and have the attendance marked that you were there? Also where do you hide when you skip? And please don't answer if you're gonna say you shouldn't skip cause I know that. Oh yeah i forgot to mention my teachers DO NOT let us go to the bathroom unless we say we're gonna throw up or something.

i dont know what to do, i dont gety guys dont come up to me. i lost a lot of weight and i got a lot prettier. what should i do and how should i get guys to come up to me. and by the way i hang out with a lot of white people and im black so i dont know if i should stop hanging out with them. is there a way i should show them that im instrested in them or something to say, or something i should do?

Kids keep growing up faster, what is causing this? Its funny because not only do kids seem to be growing up faster, people are staying teenagers in their minds longer. I mean there are 40 year old guys who are gamers for Gods sakes. And most 40+ men are still in the college age mindset. So the range is widening at both ends.

My 16 year old step-daughter is quickly becoming more and more of a handful. She's always been rather conniving, setting her older sister up to yell at her or get her in trouble then play the sweet little victimized angel. Pretty soon it was tellign me to pick her and a friend up at the mall... no problem... until i get there and search for her for three hours only to find out that her frind "didn't feel good" and they walked to my grandmother's appartment a few minutes away. Then there's the lying... she'll look me right in the eye and tell me I promised her something or said something and I know I never did. Recently she was grounded from going anywhere or being online for a month for not coming home from school like she told me she was then not even getting home until 12:30 AM. This time, just this Saturday, she and a friend and her older sister went to this little teen club with a friend of her sister's, She told a 21 year old boy that she was 18 and came home drunk.

Why is it that it seems like no other girls are waiting until marriage to have sex anymore? My friends mother is a nurse and told me about an 8 year old that had a baby the other day and is in critical condition. I had a big circle of friends with me who were going to wait and all of them bailed, Im the only one left. Im not going to give in. When I was in 6th grade my mom bought me a ring (its really pretty) to wear on my ring finger as a promise to god and my future husband, not her, to wait until marriage. All the guys Iv dated previosuly thought it was cool... until they cheated with someone who would have sex with them. I finally found one who is waiting too (thought he already broke it when he was younger) but he cheated on me too and had sex with someone. He felt really bad about it, and I forgave him, one more slip up and hes out, but I was just wondering if any other girls are waiting out there, and if you didnt wait, do you regret it now or no?

I've been in therapy for about a month for anorexia and cutting. I'm doing good, ALOT better then I was, at the very least. Im eating, (if not the amount I'm supposted to) at least more then I was,and I'm slowley increasing it. I haven't cut in over a week. Im doing fine, but my moms wreck. ok well im 13 and 5'6" and weigh about 155-160 at school i always get made fun of getting called a fat *** so what can i do and am i over weight plz help me.. i still fit in kids clothes as long as its a 18 plus size because of my legs being so muscular(from riding horses) and from being so tall. so what can i do? any info helps such as to loose weight, stop getting picked on, and any tips for clothes so i can be mor ein style??

My girl started wearing a bra a month ago. She hated, said a bra sucks, makes her sweat (we live in Australia, it's hot) and so on. I'm a very understanding mom and she's a wonderful girl, but since I really think she needds a bra I used my authority. She complained, complained but I was firm."Sorry hun, but you need to wear o bra, so it's decided" . Of course I did this with much love and helped her chhose her bras. Well, though she's a very good and obedient girl, I got to know on this bra issue she's not obeying completely. She ended up confessing sometimes she takes off her bra and puts it on again before getting back home. She apologized, said it's because she doesn't like bras. I don't think this is something bad, just a childish think. Is this normal behavior? Anyway, I told her I didn't like, didn't want her to do it again and said I'd think if she'd be punished, From my reaction she could tell I wasn't that angry. But do u think a small lesson is in order? if so, what lesson?

My parents do this a lot, but they say i won;'t understand till I get kids. my thought is, they say they trust me, but they really don't. not trusting other people is a part of life, and aren't I old enough (i'm 15) to make decisions regarding what other people do. and everybody i know thinks i'm at least a year or two older that i really am

A year ago my son had to be punished because he joined bad crowds, was doing dangerous stuff. We grounded him for some months until we could trust him again. He changed completely, but got very resentful and humiliated, because he had apologized and promised to change and it took us months to trust him again. Today he's a great boy but avoids us, doesn't talk to us about his life, he just lives with us. We tried to tal with him a lot of times, explained we were afraid he'd do something dangerous, it was out of love. But he always says he can't get over , we should have belived him (although he had some chances to change his behavior without a punishment) and shouldn't wait for months before trusting him again. Today he's sure a great guy, but sems will never love us again. This year he got in the honor roll of his school and didn't tell us, I got to know from a teacher. We could have so many activities together, I could help him so much. But seems his resentment will last forever
