It's unhealthy and you are not old enough to make the right decisions (mainly when you've had enough). If you are drinking at 14, you need help.

You're drinking at 14? If you were my kid, you'd be grounded for the next couple of years. Where are your parents? Do they know?
Alcohol impairs judgment, give you a false sense of bravado, and induces you to do things you normally wouldn't even consider. This is especially dangerous when a person who has been drinking gets behind the wheel of car. More accidents resulting in death have been caused by alcohol than anything else. And underage drinkers fall into the most profound category of automobile fatalities. If you want to be a statistic, keep on drinking, so instead of planning for your graduation, wedding or other joyous occasions, your parents will have the grim and tragic task of planning your funeral. You don't seem to have much sense even when sober, or you wouldn't touch the stuff. But combine that with alcohol, and you'll meet St. Peter about 70 years sooner than planned. I hope that answers your question.

The effects it has on the brain which is still developing.
The behavior which results for immature individuals drinking and losing control. Drinking can be a gateway drug. At 14 you do not know your limits as well and therefore are more at risk. It can be the start of an addiction if started to soon. Mostly it is the behavior that is associated with drinking.
Did you know that Alcohol is the ONLY drug you can die detoxing from!!

Dude, here's a question for you. If you are drinking and don't feel anything, then what is so good about underage drinking? Your 14, so why are you sitting at your computer drinking, go play a sport, study, read.

If you don't feel anything, something is very wrong. Go see a doctor.
The worst part of underage drinking is drunk driving and other stupid behaviour. Plus it's illegal.
People who start to drink early in the US usually do worse in school and run into other problems than the alcohol itself.
Europeans are raised to understand the effects of alcohol. Wish we had the same in the US.

Because some people have addictive personalities. If anyone in your family is an addict you have a chance of being one. Alcohol is only a gateway leading you to explore other drugs. Drugs and alcohol short circuit your normal brain activity over time so think about it. You're not being cool you're acting your age and not making very wise decision. Do some research on alcohol poisoning or how alcohol affects your body. It dehydrates your brain so it looks like a raisin. You do the math!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. it kills brain cells- you don't want to be dumb do you?
2. It makes it a whole lot easier for someone to take advantage of you. I would hate to see that happen.
3. It will negatively affect your family, your friends, school, and your future.
4. It's also against the law.
Look, picture your life 10 or 20 years from now. What you choose to do today determines the outcome of the rest of your life.

it all depends on how mature you are. my sister, the youngest in the family, is much younger than my brother and myself and therefore looked up to us and was always very mature. my parents allowed her to drink when she was 16 on certain occasions, such as when we went on vacation to the bahamas and europe or a glass of wine with our christmas dinner. she could handle it, plus she was under supervision and was not going to be driving anywhere. i think because of this, when she went to college this past fall, she was less likely to go wild and crazy, because she wasn't sheltered.
however, i don't think it's a good idea for all teenagers to be drinking. it doesn't help with grades. some are immature, get stupid, drive, use it to numb pain, binge drink, and just don't know when enough is enough. my advice to you is to wait until you're a little older and can handle it.

We've all seen adults acting stupid as a result of alcohol, now picture an already immature 14 year old plastered... Yeah, not a good sight... Being underage, and drinking is a dumb choice which results in car accidents, and fatalities... All in all, its a bad choice...

Because at 14 you can't make mature decisions without drinking! So quit drinking and go read a book.

I agree, as long as it is done responsibly. I was in Ireland for a while, and they have less problems with drinking there, because the kids grow up being able to drink. I think it is dumb that someone can be 18 and join the army, die for their country, but can't go out to a bar on the weekend and drink. I think there are some underage people that shouldn't be drinking, but there are also some of age poeple that I personally think shouldn't be drinking.
