YES!! Innocence has become a rare quality amongst children. Ever since the "mall culture" every child has become brand concious at a very early age. Its spreading all over the world, and yes India too.

teenager at 8 ,, teenage starts at 13,, all kids develop at different ages, 8 is unusual and not common,, 10/11 is normal even later than this, actually there is no normal, my mum, me and my daughter were roughly the same age when we came into maturity, for want of a better word. i think you might be misled by this article. some mums get there kids into film/ modelling work at a young age, were they wear all that crap on their face, making them into mini adults, not nice for the kids, just ambitious parents

I've seen it in the US 20 yrs ago, my cousin when she was 8 started her period but that was 18 yrs ago. She had to take pills to reverse the effect of developing early! This has been around for a long time!

according to me i think it is a yes...i mean don't you see the effect.children at eight ,even at 6 were stylish clothes..first of all it is not the view of stylish clothes but parents should see to it that children do not overreact i mean they should try to teach their child all household stuffs as to keep the child healthy and active...
and yes i think it will affect the child's future because they will just turn out to be a lazy child....

It all depends upon the family and the environment in which the child is. It is the values inculcated in the child which makes him/her a child or a grown-up.
