Adolescent - June 2006

hes a lovely kid, just at that age where he wants money all the time but wont get off his butt to earn any for himself! Not making excuses for him but where we live, its hard to get any work if ur under 16, its quite a snobby town, its even hard to find people that want u washing there cars or doing there gardens etc!! My friend has brought her 3 kids up alone, there dad passed away about 7 years ago, then when she finally started a relationship with someone that the kids adored-he passed away suddenly. The kids dont trust many people as to them it must seem like the people they love or trust vanish from them?! Her oldest boy is 15, he has just smashed the house up as his mum didnt have the £4 he wanted! He was abusive to her, even when she came 2 my house to escape or at least to calm down! He came to my house saying he had cleaned up the mess so can he have the £ now!! He made the mess! U arent allowed to smack ur kids or discipline them anymore...so how do u stop this happening?!

Today I called the cable company to ask them about my bill. I was shocked to find out that my basic cable bill had x-rated movies billed. When I initially requested services I asked for basic cable. The Mgr., explained to me that pay per view services could be order through the remote control. Long story make it short, my boy order the movies and I just don't know how to deal with this. I am not talking to him at this minute as I am very upset, I feel I need to cool down before I ask him how he dared to do such a thing. I believe in having open talk with your daughter or son whatever the case would be, but I am very confused. I am 34 year old single mother and my boy is fourteen. I need some help on how I can deal with this very serious issue. I believe in healthy sex at the right time with the right person for the right reasons, I totally hate pornography.

Okay, I know I'm getting ahead of myself as my daughter is only 7 but I've been hearing a lot about the terrible teenage years lately. Is it true? Does a sweet little girl who loves talking to her parents & spending time with them suddenly turn into an angry, distant teen/pre-teen? If so, does it last for a long period of time-what should I expect?

According to my brother-in-law my niece is now someone who will not listen to anyone but her friends, doesn't care to be near her parents in public, etc. BUT let me note that my brother-in-law is divorce & their parenting style is very different, even when they were married. The kid has spent summers on her own since 2nd grade! They bought her a summer pass to the nearby waterpark & let her take care of herself. Call me overprotective but that is WAY TOO YOUNG! She already has a cell phone & has guys sending her text messages. According to her, she is one her 2nd boyfriend and the 1st wants her back!

Okay, what happen was that this lady, she was walking around and me and my friends were just sitting there minding our own bussinsess, but we were charging our phones and we waren't suppose to and, so then I said "here she come here she come" so then she was like "GET OVER HERE NOW!" So we went over there and she said yal look like yal doing something yal not suppose to. So she told me to go sit over there because I am going to have a talk with your mama.

ok so my mom found ciggerettes in my purse and a note about me smoking weed also today is da last day of school and i havent been doing so good well she grounded me for the summer liek im only allowed out two days out of the week on her days off nd my curfew is at 8 nd im not allowed on the computer more than a half hour and i can not watch much tv now this will be a borings ummer i have no idea what to do im pissed off do you think this is fair would you do the same?
