Check up and see what she's doing. If you know she's not doing anything wrong, then just get up and tell her she needs to get off. Then tell her you're going to start taking the internet cord away...and do it.

Check and see what she is doing. You can get some doorknobs that have a key that goes to them if it's like in a seperate room and you could lock the door and put the key somewhere you know she cant find it at night.Even though that is kind of mean, what does someone need to sneak onto the computer for in the middle of the night anyway?

If your authority is not enough to keep her off the computer, find out what she is seeking....and make the computer inoperable during the night (keep the cords with you). If you still can not keep her off, put parental contorls programs on it or you can get rid of the computer or lock it in a room where she has to get access from you. Something does not sound good if she is still sneaking on there and you have placed it off limits... Check it out...You may need a filter

Set some rules about the use of the computer. Tell her exactly what the punishment will be if she breaks the rules. Then hold her to it no matter how much she whines about it. You are the adult and you have to act like it. This is only one issue but it may be that you have a discipline problem in your home. Either you are not firm enough or the punishment is not enough to get her attention. Kids need rules and deep inside they want them. It tells them you care.

Good luck.

Yes, I agree- find out what she's doing. If she's up to no good, you have the responsibility as a parent. However, if she just wants to surf, use friendster or myspace or answers (^__^), I guess you can tell her to wake up extra early to use the computer instead of sneaking out at night.
