My almost 5 month old daughter has began teething and it has really started to bother her within the past couple of days. She's slowly began eating less and is now starting to refuse her bottles. I breastfeed her and supplement with formula and she usually takes 4-5 bottles of formula per day and breastfeeds 3-4 times per day.

Today, of the 3 bottles that I have offered her she has only drank 2 of the 5 oz she usually drinks and almost immediately begins spitting it all up. She eats fine when I breastfeed her but unless she falls asleep during the feeding she's also started spitting up breastmilk too, so much that it seems she is losing her entire meal. Can anyone offer any advice/experience?

I'm afraid that if I call her doctor about the situation all she'll say is keep offering her a bottle and if I'm really concerned to take her to the E.R. (since it's the weekend) where they will most likely try to stick needles in her which I dred.

I feel bad when putting her to bed without her eating, but I can't get on to her anymore for not eating. She is never hungry and her mom thinks I never feed her because she tells her she hasn't eaten.

I've seen in some book or other a lovely chart that shows how much a baby should eat in a feeding based on his weight. Anyone know where to find something like that online?

We have an 1 pound 8 week old baby -- how much should he eat? And how much should he eat as he grows?

What do you think of the name Guido Fawkes Sl---en?
Just wondering.

I'm not drunk, or pregnant, so don't say that, it's mean. *pouts and starts to cry* I don't like mean people.

I just want to know people's opinions.

ok, this is a different weekend for us. My fiancees ex, actually let us take his daughter for the weekend. i adore her and I'm glad to have her here, but her momdropped her off about 15 minutes ago, and her head is so full of lice that they are walking on her face. i know how to treat lice, i need help on how you can untangle a five-year-old's hair when it literally all one big snarl. it looks like her mom hasn't brushed it since the last time we had her here two months ago. it's terrible I neeed to get it brushed so i can delouse it, but I can't get the snarls out. I don't want to just chop her hair off, but the detangler spray we use for my daughter isn't helping at all. Can anybody help me with this?

Last night my 2 year old went to bed about 10pm(ususal bedtime is 8:30-9:00pm) and woke up at 4am, stayed awake until about 6am (stayed in bed). I woke him up at 7am for daycare. While I was at work I got a call from the daycare and the sitter said my son was running a temp and he seems to be "out of it". She said it was like he just shut down, would not respond to her and very cranky. She said he reminded her of a person with Diabetes who need their meds and suggested that I take him to the hospital immediately.
He was not feverish when I picked him up so I took him home to monitor him. Before we could get home he was sleep and has been sleep for 2 hours already. I am going to take him to see his Dr. tomorrow, But my question is has anyone ever notice strange change in their child behavior from lack of sleep. Please comment and tell me what you think, seriously please.

I've been reserching and found out that more than half of the teens in america still wet the bed. I wet the bed untill I was 14 and know the troubles of it but while researching I found many sites and people saying that you shouldn't make your kids who wet the bed wear diapers but I know that when I wet the bed I'd ask to wear diapers because it was the easiest form of staying clean, no stupid alarms to beep after you've already peed, and I thought they were comfortable. What do you think? Do you remember ever having to wear diapers? Did you have accidents? Should kids wear diapers to bed if they have accidents? Do diapers help accidents? Anything diaper related might help my search.

OK so my mom is a teacher right and there was a teacher party at this teachers house. This teacher had a bar in her basment and my principle was hitting the licker hard, so hard he got drunk. when he was drunk he started stepping on my feet and telling random stories. It progressed to the point where me and my mom had to leave. Dont't you think that is crazy.

I have a 19 month old son and just gave birth three weeks ago to a little girl. My son's behavior has gotten to be a problem. He isn't listening and throws things at me. He also is getting into things he know he shouldn't and smiles when I say no. He seems to listen to my husband only, but that's only once in a while. What do I do? Is this normal for a jealous child?

I almost hate to post this because i LOVE the name i have picked out for my baby (if she's a girl) but some people are telling me it's not a good choice because it is unique and "weird".
the name i have chosen is Annalucia Deluna
Annalucia means "gracious light" and that is why i chose it, because she's not even here yet and she already lights up my life! Deluna, means "of the moon" so "gracious light of the moon" is the full name meaning (cut me some slack i'm a hippie and a cancer!)
Anyways, some people say she'll be made fun of b/c of her middle name and that her first name (pronounce "a-na-loo-sha") is too weird/unique and complicated. But, i think it's beautiful, and who ever knows someone's middle name?

All,

I am having some serious doubts about the recent actions of an ex-girlfriend. We have a son together. Because of her actions right before she had the baby which gave me doubts to her fidelity I did not put my name on his birth certificate but have supported him from the day he was born (he's almost 4). About 2 years ago she was pestering me to let her boyfriend adopt my son. I said no and that was the end of it. The other day she mentioned a "hypothetical situation" about a woman who has had another guy adopt a hypothetical child and she is getting child support from the adopted dad AND the assumed dad and was wondering if sending the adopted dad to court for more support. I confronted her if it is true and she denied it. My common sense of course is bothering me. Was wondering if I could check Georgia adoption records. Thier website says that I can't because I am not the father of record, the sibling or the grandparent. What would you guys suggest?

I received an email from my boss today- about the fact that I am not attending our X-Mas party next weekend. He'd like me to reconsider. I am not. I love being with my kids- I am away enough from work and cannot recapture this time. So, I turned him down. He tried to play the "feel guilty" deal and I ignored it and moved on.

I love being with my kids. I don't care what the party is for; given a choice between leaving them with a sitter to go out or stay in- I'd rather stay home with them. At the very least, take them out someplace.

I am a teacher and other teachers find this strange.
Is it really or do other people feel the same way? I find it strange that it would seem strange to others. I realize I am using that word a lot, but it comes to mind.

Our baby is 15 months old- and outside of work (where my husband has her when I work and he works nights) we have left them for 3 hours for car shopping. We LIKE our kids. Our son is 11.

What are your feelings on this?
