I had no complications during labor or delivery. What is the average time to stop bleeding.

Highly variable, could last as long as 6-8 weeks, but I think most people are done by 4-6 weeks. And remember - just because you stop bleeding and feel ok it doesn't mean you are safe to start having sex again. Your body still is healing internally and you are still at a high risk for infection, so please wait until your doc gives you the go-ahead at your postpartum visit.

Congrats on baby!

You should normally stop bleeding up to about 10 days of birth. It should be red/pink for 3-4 days and become more watery with time. Usually by 7-10 days, it becomes more whitish appearing. You should probably see your doctor if you are still bleeding, especially if you are having any foul odors, fevers, or chills.

Well when you have baby it could take 6 weeks to stop bleeding depending on your age and body. I have had 2 kids and I think I did after 3 weeks.

I bled for 6 weeks, and I had a normal pregnancy too.. However I started jogging 1 week after, so that may have had something to do with it.. But dont be afraid to exercise this is the best time to do it.. just keep it to a minimum.. I used to take my daugher for 3 mile walks in her baby jogger stroller which came equipped with an infant car seat.. they have brakes too if you like to roller blade! I was 118 lbs at full term, and 98lbs after 6 weeks.. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions..

From what I have read, its between 2 and 6 weeks for the bleeding to stop. It 'winds' down like a period. i.e it gets lighter in flow and brownish in colour towards the end of the bleeding.
Hope this helpful.

Oh you may spot up to a month. This is normal. Heavy bleeding for long periods of time however is not. Even women who have had Csections also bleed for quite awhile afterwards. I know I did.

That's a good question to ask your OB/GYN.
Every woman is different and so is every pregnancy.
If 15 women on Yahoo Answers tell you they stopped after 10 days, you're going to think something's wrong with you and get all nervous. It would be in your best interest to ask your doctor.
