Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 November 2007

Why do other people get so upset about a baby that isn't theres and how other people raise there children? Example: One mother doesn't breastfeed and gets harassed/criticized/ and bashed by breastfeeding mothers, Vaccinating and not vaccinating. I just don't understand why others have to be so harsh. It is our child, our decision. There is no way the parent is going to change there parenting because people bash them. It just makes me sooo mad and I am tired of all this bashing/criticism about breastfeeding/not breastfeeding, vaccinating/not vaccinating. Us formula-feeding mothers don't go to people that post questions about breastfeeding and say their doing something wrong so why do it to us?

When I breastfeed, I am always afraid that his nose is being blocked from breathing. (boob up his nose lol)
But my lactation consultant says hes fine. Even if she is right, I'll push myself away from his nose just to make sure he can breath.
Do you ever worry about this or should I stop being so worried? lol

How long does it take for hormone levels to get back to normal after breastfeeding?
I just stopped completley breastfeeding 2-3 weeks ago after weaning slowly for about 3 weeks. (I breast fed for a total of about 4 months). The past week I have had off and on cramps, emotional, and moodiness. Is it because I just stopped breasf feeding?? I couldnt be pregnant could I? could it just be a loooong PMS? What is going on with me?

My daughter is 6 months old so I know it me who is making the mess but, I just dont know how to stay organized. I have clothing everywhere as well as toys. I want it to look great but uncluttered. How can I achieve this, Also am looking for ways I can make the room very useful to her as well. I put those puzzle peice things on the ground, I bought an organizer for her wipes and other stuff, but her clothes and toys there everywhere.

I have not felt my baby move yet. With my others even my 1st I have gelt it by now. I had an antenatal appointment at 15weeks and she heard the heartbeat but I'm now worried something might of happened.....any ideas?

to dialate at all so far. Last time at 19 weeks I went to emergency and they confirmed I was having lots of contractions but my doctor said it was to early to give me a shot. Im still getting the contractions almost every night. The pain is intensifying. Sometimes it also aches like bad flu cramps in my uterus. Has anyone else experienced this or know what it could be. Im afraid to go back to emergency if they won't do anything for me anyways.

my finace and I are trying to conceive now.

Tonight him and I are going to be drinking a little bit. We both never ever drink. Sometimes it relaxes us.

Would it lower his sperm count tonight or effect our chances of conceiving if he consumes a little bit of alcohol? Or should we hold off on the alcohol until after?

I heard that when A man drinks before sex, hes even more "horny" and lets out more sperm. IS that true as well?

I am 17 and a junior in high school and my boyfriend and I have been “sexually active” for the past year now! No one in my family knew….but now my older sister does. My sister is 26 so I when I was younger I always thought she was so cool and looked up to her. But yesterday she came home to visit and I didn’t know she was coming and I a few days before I had bought a pregnancy test because I thought I might have been pregnant. Fortunately I ended up getting my period the next day. But anyways, I had it in the bag in my room and I had been meaning to put it away so no one saw it, but when my sister came into my room to say hi I’m pretty sure she saw it. She acted like she didn’t see it but I know she did. Earlier today when she was leaving, she was like Hey call me sometime so we can talk and go out to lunch and catch up. I want to call her but I’m so scared to talk with her. It’s going to be awkward and I won’t know what to say to her. I don’t want her to think I’m a little slu*t or anything. My husband and I have agreed on Miranda for our daughter, but we still cannot agree with a middle name. I like Grace, Elise, Claire (after my favorite cousin), Jean (after my grandmother), Olivia, or Joy (my middle name). He doesn't like any of these, and cannot come up with something that he does like. We gave our son a middle name after my husband's side of the family. I've found pbskids.org, but so far it's not as interactive as I'd like. Also, sesame street's website, it seems to tell stories more than having games.
I'm looking for simple games that can teach my daughter to use the mouse. Any ideas?
