Why do other people get so upset about a baby that isn't theres and how other people raise there children? Example: One mother doesn't breastfeed and gets harassed/criticized/ and bashed by breastfeeding mothers, Vaccinating and not vaccinating. I just don't understand why others have to be so harsh. It is our child, our decision. There is no way the parent is going to change there parenting because people bash them. It just makes me sooo mad and I am tired of all this bashing/criticism about breastfeeding/not breastfeeding, vaccinating/not vaccinating. Us formula-feeding mothers don't go to people that post questions about breastfeeding and say their doing something wrong so why do it to us?

mz.amber m.Reed- Would you consider someone who tried for a week and the baby just wouldn't cooperate so she quit a lazy mother/selfish mother?

I really don't know the answer to this one, but I am sick of it also. Parenting is not easy at all and people do the best they can and do not deserve getting flack for it if someone does not disagree. I was not able to breastfeed my son. He is wonderful! I was not breastfed and I highly doubt I would be any better if I had. There are good and bad sides to everything, and if people could mind their own business about such things, the world would be a better place!

Most people are very narrow minded, and that is why the world is in the state that is in today. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but not many take a look in the mirror before spewing their venom. Noone is perfect. Plain and simple.

Babies are little helpless beings so naturally when we think we know what is best for them... we feel the need to be their voice.
Sometimes its worth taking advice. But I know that there are so many recent discoveries about children that OUR parents never knew about and WE turned out fine... well kind of! ahah. So unless you are causing harm to your baby things like breast feeding and formula feeding aren't that big of an issue.

Because those people cannot comprehend things they do not understand. They are hypocritcal, judgmental, and ignornant. Unfortunately they think their way is the right and only way. But we know there are different ways and there is no reason to bash or criticize anyone for their own personal choices. I think as long as the baby is loved, taken care of, and is in a loving family, then why should it matter?

I agree with all that you are saying except the last statement. It does happen...bashing goes all ways. I wish people would respect others decisions but it will never happen.

Because they have a holier-than-thou attitude. I had to pump for my son because he was on a feeding tube and I got flack because I had to put him on formula when he came home from the hospital after 10 weeks. He was a preemie and had problems latching on and even had to be taught how to properly take a bottle. I even had a woman come up to me at Costco when I was sitting and giving my son a bottle and said "I hope that's breast milk." I saw this response in Parent's magazine and loved it so I used it. I replied "I don't tell others what to do with their bodily fluids so I don't like being told what to do with mine!" She was so embarrassed she just turned, red-faced and walked away.

breastfeeding i don't care, do it or don't do it it is your choice, vaccinations however are a different matter, it is a public health issue, if you don't vaccinate your child these illnesses can come back into our society, vaccination meant that these killer illnesses where no longer dominant in our society.

People always want to be right and for some reason can't accept that there may be more than one right way or no right way to do things.

I think if you can breastfeed you should there is a difference between can't do it and lazyness or selfishness also! As long as the baby is fed! I disagree with your last statment however; its the same thing you were just saying you didn't like or agree with!
