Here's what I've done. As my son has grown, I'll pack the clothes he's grown out of away into one box for every group of clothes (ex. 3-6 mo. in one box, 6-9 in another) and put the boxes on the top of the closet. I don't know if you have a changing table, but I have a used one that's presently holding my son's toys. It has shelves that he can have his toys on. I also have a little dresser where I can fold his clothes up and put them away. I also did the same thing with feeding utensils, bottles, blankets..etc. etc
I do this so when I have more kids, I'll have most of my boy's baby things to use on the new baby.

Do you have a dresser for her clothes? Are you hanging them up in a closet? I treat my daughter's clothes just as I do my own. As far as toys, you can get a toybox for a fairly inexpensive price. They also have those Rubbermaid boxes. I might suggest storing similar toys in some of those boxes, and maybe putting them under her crib and/or in the closet. I "alternate" some of my daughter's toys. That is, I take some out for a few days, and then store them away, bringing out others for her to play with. It helps to keep the clutter down, and keeps her interested in her toys because she doesn't see all of them all of the time. Good luck!

I don't know if they still make them, but I have a dresser for my son that has been in our family for over 40 years that has 4 short drawers, one long one, and a little closet door for hanging clothes. I hang my son's little suits and dress shirts in there, and I keep his shoes in the bottom of the closet part. Don't get one of those toy organizers that holds the bins unless you attach it to the wall. The couple I nanny for has one and their youngest always pulls it over on himself so I block him from getting to it. I have one of those huge round bins with the rope handles for my son's toys and he would pull himself up on it before he could walk and he would get toys out.
