Once I was getting ready to leave she asked me when I was going to see my Obstetrician (which I'm going Monday) and she said he was going to talk to me about testing my baby for Down Syndrome at my next Ultrasound. My friend told me it was normal procedure but the way she worded it made me feel very uneasy, and I can't wait until Monday for clarity. So do you think she saw something abnormal this early (can it be detected this soon) or am I just a bit paranoid...PLEASE HELP Experienced only.

Ok, so I had my daughter about a week ago. My parents are saying I need to give her up for adoption but I don't want to and neither does her father. I'm taking very good care of my daughter. I'm going to do school online which i've been wanting to do even before I was pregnant. Me and my boyfriend love her so much! What should we do?
I'm 14 and he's 15 although we're both in the same grade.

My son has wanted to become a vegetarian for a LONG time. He is 15 and I don't think that it's a good idea for health reasons. Plus I think that he got the idea from tv. I have asked a few friends and they say "no." My husband and I have told him "no" many times, but now he is back with it, only now he wants to be a VEGAN, and won't listen. He keeps trying to buy soy and legume stuff and suddenly eats fruits and vegetables, but I don't think it'll last and he needs meat, right? Please help, I am concerned for his health and Thanksgiving is coming up!

I'm having a hard time with this. It's not easy to explain. My 5 year old son was molested @ his Dad's house by his new wife's 14 year old foster-daughter, on numerous occasions when the kids were there, while my 4 year old girl watched. The 14 year old has admitted what she's done, my 4 & 5 year old kids are in Therapy @ Children's Hospital. My Family Court case is this Wednesday to solidify legal & physical custody of the kids.

The issue I'm struggling w/today is my reaction in wanting to confront this 14 year old girl & tell her she's going to burn in hell, etc. She is a victim of incest by her Father herself, that's why she's in Foster Care & has been in Therapy since she was 8 or 9? It seems to me if she's had years of Therapy, she should know better & wouldn't want to introduce other children to the types of issues she has dealt with.

I know it's wrong for me to confront her, but my head really ran with what I would say to her today.

Ok i went to the doctors on Thursday and had an ultrasound, the doctor said hes pretty sure its a boy! But he then said he thinks! has anyone had this happen? I mean i go for another one on the 20th so im not to worried about it but i am pretty sure i saw "male parts" i am 17 almost 18 weeks pregnant. Jus wanted to hear if anyone had the doc tell them one thing and it turned out to be another!

Is it true that if you're a fraternal twin, you're more likely to concieve fraternal twins or multiples? Here's another question. How far along am I? My last period was finished two weeks ago. I feel pregnant. It's two weeks later. Am I three or four weeks pregnant? They say that when you concieve you're already considered to be two weeks pregnant.

Or is it how she deals with what she has?I am not pro-SAHM nor am I pro-working mom. I am pro-mom period. One thing I have noticed on here is all the back and forth bashing between SAHM's and working moms. Perhaps many don't mean to, but I have to say I have noticed some SAHM's making "digs" at the working moms, saying things like "I don't want strangers raising my kids." "I value my kids above money." "My kids mean more to me than my career." Working moms feel pretty much the same way, but many feel as a mom they need that second income to properly support their kids.

We have alot of SAHM's where I live who don't properly support their kids. They get on welfare, medicaid, WIC, food stamps and any other type of public assistance they can. I don't in any way think that these women are superior to me, just because they have the title SAHM and I work outside the home.

Is it the title that makes one mom superior to others, or doing what she thinks is right for her family?

I have a baby girl named Myah who is two weeks old tomorrow. She wakes up in the middle of the night coughing. I'm not sure what to do. I have another daughter but nothing like this has ever happened to her. Like every night at 12:30 she'll wake up coughing, then crying then coughing again. What should I do?

Sister has been feeling bad since Halloween (10/31) night around 6:30pm.

She's stating that she has cramps in her stomach/tummy mostly in the upper areas.

She also says that she feels bloated & gaseous & if you put your ear to that area you can hear tiny gurgling sounds.

She has cramps from the gas when she tries to poo. When she goes to the bathroom, she pees fine (yesterday having very minor warming sesation when peeing), but when she tries to poo she lets out yellow liquid instead (most of the time) & loose "watery" stool other times.

She feels worn out & exhausted, but when she lays down, she states that whichever side she lays on starts to hurt after a while.

Halloween & yesterday, she had pains on her lower-mid right backside & today they are on her lower-mid left backside.

She is burping a lot & when she coughs, it makes her feel nauseous.

She had cereal, but she vomited the milk. She really doesn't want to eat (loss of appetite?)

Any ideas what's up?

My daughter is 4 months. I started her on solids today. She is getting carrots right now. It seems to be a little to smooth or runny for her. Could I just add rice cereal to it to make it a little thicker?

I am asking this question for a friend of mine. I already have insurance.

My friend took a pregnancy test and was surprised when it came out pos. Anyway, she doesn't have health insurance so she hasn't made a doctors appointment yet. Were she lives there is a family planning and I told her to call them and go to them. I do know they have a health insurance you can get through them and what not. But I want to find a few different insurances she can look into and find the one that best fits her and her boyfriend's needs. I have heard of some people on here talking about an insurance that can't turn you down if you are pregnant. So I was hoping you all could help me and give me the names of insurances and hopefully a website that she could check out. Thank you for your time.

theres a party todaythey didnt let me go cuz it was too far away and my mom was busy and she's my only ride
she wanted to have her friend do her hair today and her friend was 3hrs late and she just sat there and waited for her

then i asked again she was like "fine hurry up and change" she called her friend and she left her house to come over and said i cant go but we still had time then she sadi well im not buying your friend a b-day gift (she said that cuz she knows i have NO money AT ALL i only have dimes)

I am thinking about adding another middle name to my name. My name is Jaime Darlene. Darlene is my mom's name, so Im named after her. Thats why she did it. The name is ok, and I do like that I have for sentimental reasons so I would keep it because of that . Although, I dont like how it sounds with Jaime. I was thinking about adding Lynn after my name and being Jaime Lynn instead.....Jaime Lynn Darlene as my full name. I have heard of others with the name Jaime Lynn before, such as brittany spears sister and I think it sounds cute. Jaime Lynn is sort of two names as one name...so maybe I would have to kind of change my first name to have that. I am not sure how it needs to be done legally but I would like to do this. Do you think I should change it? Do you like Jaime Lynn better than just Jaime? Let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks.
